  19. Rex Widerstrom (2513) Says:

Is your tired routine of playing the irascible bully every time someone asks you a direct question, then grinning as if it were all just a joke, starting to wear so thin with voters that you and the sad bunch of hangers-on hiding in your shadow will be gone by kai time?

  20. big bruv (5661) Says:

    Rex

You must have something from his past that would bring the prick down?

  21. riki (234) Says:

    3) Obviously a man like Winston has many enemies.

Now, this is the thing about Winston and probably the key to his longevity.

His enemies never come back to haunt him. They transfer their wealth and hightail it overseas never to be seen of or heard again. They were aided and abetted by a National govt who didn’t want to go into missing amounts of millions and were literally forced to open the can of worms.

Those involved certainly never rise their heads in the NZ public arena any more, which gives a lot of creedence to Winstons prosecution. There’s obviously too much to be lost by pursuing him and they have their millions. And like it or not, National were co-conspirators by their silence. Esp one such high ranking National minister, Bill Birch, who resigned cause he ” smelt a rat in poltics.”

    History is good to know.

This post in no way endorses the current policies of W. Peters or NZF.

  22. riki (234) Says:

    YES

I include myself in accountability and transparent govt

    W. Peters.

  23. Ross Miller (1315) Says:

Riki … re your 3.40. Be sure of your facts because when you say something that isn’t true you condem the worth of the rest of your post. Since when did Bill Birch “resign because he smelt a rat in politics”? Authenticate plwease.

  24. 3-coil (687) Says:

“Hey Winston – is Condaleeza OK with you leaving your socks on?”

  25. Letterman (118) Says:

“So, what you are saying is that you have pretty much ALWAYS been a self-indulgent, thin skinned, narcissistic excuse for political flotsam with an undiagnosed mood disorder and a pathology for being allergic to the truth……did I get all that?”

  26. riki (234) Says:

“Riki … re your 3.40. Be sure of your facts because when you say something that isn’t true you condem the worth of the rest of your post. Since when did Bill Birch “resign because he smelt a rat in politics”? Authenticate plwease.”

All I can say is that was his press statement at the time of his announced retirement from politics.

another historic sound bite quote was Doug Graham as minister of energy announcing NZ was getting lead free gas because he “was sick of the arguments.”

Yet another classic was Jenny Shipley stating “This country is not going to be run over a couple of whiskey tumblers,”
referring to the relationship between W. Peters and J. Bolger at the time. David doubtless remembers this one.
