If Clark wants to label someone slippery she should have started here.
Times up for the Bauble King of Lies.

“Mr Peters. Are you a corrupt, self-serving meglomaniac with complete disdain for the truth?”
July 15th, 2008 at 9:16 am
Mr Peters. Are the issues raised by the Herald illustrating a level of conduct contradictory to the stated principles of NZ first with regard to electoral funding?
July 15th, 2008 at 9:22 am
This has ‘Caption Competition’ written all over it.
‘Mr Peters, when you made your famous ‘bauble’ remark, was that bullshit?”
July 15th, 2008 at 9:23 am
“Mr Peters. Would you like to get your Gear off?”
July 15th, 2008 at 9:34 am
“Look in the mirror. I’m sorry but you’re a full flushing, un-risked, reconstructed moron.”
July 15th, 2008 at 10:04 am
“Winnie – is it true that you always wear your socks when in flagrante delicto?”
July 15th, 2008 at 10:04 am
I’m not sure what the question is, but Peters is definitely not the right answer.

Life after politics Part 1: Winston Peter’s prepares the cue cards for his impending audition to play the “man from Del Monte”….
Next week: Helen tours Norway with the Labour Party production of “Priscilla: The Musical”, sponsored by Owen Glenn.

Crazys the slippery one The way she is ducking the issue that she chose Luigi to be her Foreign Minister so if he acts in an inappropriate manner has he most certainly has in the Glenn affair then this directly reflects on her lack of judgement in picking him
Just like the ABs coach You chose bad players You wear the results. She has been so overrated for so many years by so many people
Fact is her moral and ethical compass point south Already has done.

July 15th, 2008 at 10:59 am

July 15th, 2008 at 12:37 pm
WOULD I LOVE to smack John Banks about the head again?
July 15th, 2008 at 12:52 pm

July 15th, 2008 at 2:49 pm
Is your tired routine of playing the irascible bully every time someone asks you a direct question, then grinning as if it were all just a joke, starting to wear so thin with voters that you and the sad bunch of hangers-on hiding in your shadow will be gone by kai time?
July 15th, 2008 at 3:23 pm
Rex
You must have something from his past that would bring the prick down?

3) Obviously a man like Winston has many enemies.
Now, this is the thing about Winston and probably the key to his longevity.
His enemies never come back to haunt him. They transfer their wealth and hightail it overseas never to be seen of or heard again. They were aided and abetted by a National govt who didn’t want to go into missing amounts of millions and were literally forced to open the can of worms.
Those involved certainly never rise their heads in the NZ public arena any more, which gives a lot of creedence to Winstons prosecution. There’s obviously too much to be lost by pursuing him and they have their millions. And like it or not, National were co-conspirators by their silence. Esp one such high ranking National minister, Bill Birch, who resigned cause he ” smelt a rat in poltics.”
History is good to know.
This post in no way endorses the current policies of W. Peters or NZF.

YES
I include myself in accountability and transparent govt
W. Peters.

Riki … re your 3.40. Be sure of your facts because when you say something that isn’t true you condem the worth of the rest of your post. Since when did Bill Birch “resign because he smelt a rat in politics”? Authenticate plwease.
July 15th, 2008 at 7:04 pm
“Hey Winston – is Condaleeza OK with you leaving your socks on?”
July 15th, 2008 at 9:07 pm
“So, what you are saying is that you have pretty much ALWAYS been a self-indulgent, thin skinned, narcissistic excuse for political flotsam with an undiagnosed mood disorder and a pathology for being allergic to the truth……did I get all that?”
July 16th, 2008 at 4:28 pm

All I can say is that was his press statement at the time of his announced retirement from politics.
another historic sound bite quote was Doug Graham as minister of energy announcing NZ was getting lead free gas because he “was sick of the arguments.”
Yet another classic was Jenny Shipley stating “This country is not going to be run over a couple of whiskey tumblers,”
referring to the relationship between W. Peters and J. Bolger at the time. David doubtless remembers this one.
