I am not sure what the deal with us women voting for Hellen or anyone for that matter just because of her gender. After 9 years of the sisterhood I can’t wait for some blokes running this country.

One risks condemnation to speak such truth these days, WraithX, but it is a fact that far more women voters vote according to gender preference than men…….that is why I keep saying the Nats 9 years in the political wilderness is more to do with their dumping of Jenny Shipley than any one other factor. That is why in reality, women are at an advantage in politics rather than a disadvantage. That is why I think that predictions of a McCain/Palin landslide in the US are probably right.

And if a male-dominated party like the Nats win big in November, that means Helen has done an incredible job in turning off women voters.

I’ll agree with you that Owen Glenn is peed off with Winston over the Monaco thing. And with Helen and co going around trying to kneecap him with rumours of senility. That was enough on its own to bring him back to testify.

As for the SFO being corrupt. Sorry, no. I can imagine them wanting to do a bang up job of the investigation so that people realise why we need one. But not them doing it corruptly. And, honestly, a “bang up job” of the investigation doesn’t look to be all that hard – 5 seconds review of the evidence made it pretty clear who was lying to whom. Winston has become so used to breaking the law and getting off with bluster and bullying that he has gotten sloppy.
