Dom Post exposes lie #287 from Peters

Just for the sake of recording them all, the Dom Post reports:
Mr Currie said that as well as $80,000 in 2007 and $50,000 in 2005, the trust paid some NZ First bills.
“In 2005, there were two accounts that were paid on behalf of the party … probably in the region of, at a guess, $15,000 between them.” More than $10,000 in bills were paid in 2006.
When The Dominion Post asked Mr Peters in July if NZ First received money from a trust that sometimes paid party bills, he said through a spokesman: “It’s a lie.”
So many administrative errors and honest mistakes.

The whole of Parliament is now in disrepute.
There is no excuse and leaves only a call for A Royal Commission of Enquiry.
The Gover4nor-General should use his Reserve Powers and dismiss the Government. Is he Mqn or Mouse?

Not so long as they are a sniveling obsequious pal of the PM’s. I am afraid this government has also dragged down the office of GG, sad indeed.
With all this corruption, Winnie may get a UN posting ahead of HC. She’s going to have to work harder on the lies and deceipt side of her CV.

DPF, If you counting last years donations why are you only counting this years lies?

Someone will correct me if I am wrong but the so called ‘Reserve Power’ of the GG to dismiss the Government is a myth.

Are we suppose to throw a dog a bone and grant Hels wish of public taxpayer funding of political parties because of exemplary behaviour like this?

Brings out the old saying “How do you know if Winnie is lying? His lips are moving.”
September 5th, 2008 at 8:07 am
That’s the “secret agenda” OECD – make the public so pissed with the behaviour of the pollies that they accept that state funding can only make things better. Fortunately, it all hinges on Labour winning the election, and Roy Morgan aside, that’s still a long shot.

The GG is a foreigner. A patsy. A friend of HC. And, what the hell is his name anyway??

Peter’s tangled web of lies and deception is being torn apart and only his ego is holding the last threads together. Surely even he must see that the writing is on the wall, the fence, the house, the building….
Just like Copeland, Peters will be hung by his own petard.
Karma.

Funny, when i first read this i thought you’d written Capill. But when you come to think of it, there’s not a lot of difference – they both lived a lie, professing one thing while doing something completely different. One’s in jail, the other has propped up an illegitimate regime. Reminds me of the graffiti i saw near the Kiwi Bacon factory in the 80′s – Jail’s the place where the big criminals send the little criminals.

According to Stuff Hone Harawira has now stepped down from the privileges committee.
Mr Harawira said yesterday he had a conflict of interest sitting on the parliamentary committee as he regarded himself as a relation of Mr Peters.
“Although we may not agree with some of his views, we recognise the huge role Winston has played in the nation’s politics,” he said.
Maori Party MPs admired his tenacity and skill.
“We won’t be drawn into the personality attacks that have characterised this issue.”
While I have no problem with an MP stepping down for these reasons, my question is
Has Mr Harawira only just discovered he is related to Winston?
If he knew of this relationship before, why didn’t he stand down then?
Is this latest move, a result of some undisclosed pressure
Or does it have something to do with Owen Glenn coming to town, and revealing more about the
alleged offer of payment to the Maori Party to form a government with Labour?

The good Sir Bob has another brilliant quote…
“Is it possible that somewhere in darkest Africa, an ancient toothless crone muttering gibberish in the corner of her hut might believe Winston’s story over the $100,000 Glenn payment? If so then she will be alone in the world.”
He also has an interesting take on why Winnie went with Nats in ’96

democracymum Yes I think you are right OG is going to reveal of the source of the request to him to offer the Maori party a donation (bribe) of $250K if they will support the Socialists
And if he does this will be the final nail in their coffin
