Helen rules Winston in Add this story to Scoopit!.

The Herald reports:

She said she would not rule out dealing with anyone after the election besides National and its “handmaiden” Act.

This is very important. A vote for Labour will effectively be a vote to keep Winston in Government. It doesn’t matter how many times he lies, it doesn’t matter how many false donations returns are filed, she’ll still have him in Government.

After weeks and weeks of claiming she has to wait for due process, she shows she has made her mind up. Unless Winston is actually in a jail cell, she”ll deal with him. She knows that he lied to her and to the public. The whole country knows he lied. But Helen says no problems.

Once upon a time, Clark had some standards. She referred to Peters as the “Le Pen” of New Zealand. Now she will forgive him any crime or sin. He could call for mass deportation of Asian immigrants, and Helen would not rule him out.

I love it that Helen has said this is an election about trust. As one commenter suggested:

You can trust Helen to keep Winston’s secrets

Indeed.

This is another monumental mistake by Klark, the only problem is that John Key will let it slide on past while he concentrates on his “positive campaign”

  2. riki (234) Says:

This validation of Winston by Helen needs to be understood as the true totalitarian nature Liarbour will inflict upon the nation if they return after November.

I thought Muldoon was a tyrant. This current lot are really putting the wind up me.

I really don’t think people promoting them with their street placards are fully aware of who they support.

The unsophisticated masses still need sophisticated surveillance to understand.

  3. Murray (4738) Says:

“Due process” could have been greatly advanced if she had not waited untill Owen glenn was about to out her before casually mentioning she had known the entire time about the loan. If not having had actually been the one who approved it.

I’m looking forward to a little “due process” of my own come 8 Nov.

  4. Don the Kiwi (353) Says:

I would prefer to believe Owen Glenn’s take on whether or not Helen and her minions are trustworthy.
“Wouldn’t want to be in the trenches with them – they’d push you out first.”

We only need to remember the contemptible way Helen & co. treated Glenn to determine whether or not she is trustworthy – and the same goes for Winston – Helen’s Footstool.

  5. boomtownprat (281) Says:

Clarks self proclaimed competence seems to have taken a walk!

It is very unlikely Labour will poll higher than National. I doubt NZ First will be back. Her only hope is a minority Lab/green/Prog with Maori Party support. Why isn’t she going feral on Winston and securing votes from NZ 1 to labour?

The dirt he has on her must be very damaging.

  6. Murray (4738) Says:

Helen loves you… till you’re no use to her any more then its off to the glue factory.

Four legs good, two legs better.

  7. 3-coil (688) Says:

Prime Minister Clark has to be trusted “to keep Winston’s secrets”, because she is depending on Winston – to keep Helen’s own dirty laundry away from the public eye. MAD – mutually assured destruction. INSANE.

As transparently corrupt as Winston has been, it’s been proven they suit each other to a tee – a perfidity “dream team”. They both inhabit the sewers of the NZ political scene, and are obviously perfect company for each other.

  8. getstaffed (4600) Says:

Truth & integrity are irrelevant sideshows. This is about Clarks naked lust for POWER at any price. If she had to sell her soul to the devil to cling to power she’d do it. At least she can manipulate Winston, notwithstanding of his knowledge of the LAX incident. This megalomaniac must be stopped.

  9. dad4justice (6103) Says:

Helen sold her soul years ago.

  10. homepaddock (307) Says:

She’s not ruling out Peters and she’s standing on trust. Oh dear, Peters’ delusion must be catching.

  11. davidp (1049) Says:

    >He could call for mass deportation of Asian immigrants, and Helen would not rule him out.

He could call for mass deportation of Asian immigrants, and Helen would write it in to their coalition agreement and then appoint Peters to be Minister of Immigration.

  12. Hagues (489) Says:

dad4justice “Helen sold her soul years ago.”

Isn’t she the one people sell their soul to?

  13. Murray (4738) Says:

Nah, shes just a sub-contractor to the big guy.

  14. getstaffed (4600) Says:

Hagues – The devil operates a pyramid scheme and Clark has successfully risen through the ranks. There will be a few demons glancing nervously over their shoulders. Who IS this upstart?

  15. Jafa (21) Says:

The NZ public have been bought before. WFF and student loans ring a bell! Helen has something big up her sleeves. Her welcome mat for Winnie is just business as usual for this corrupt lot.

  16. Manolo (1270) Says:

Clark, Peters, the word “trust”. Nothing but 100% unadulterated banana-republic politics and corrupt behaviour.

  17. baxter (893) Says:

Like BIG BRUV I dont think a “positive Campaign’ will win it for John KEY. He will be following the strategy of Gentleman Don BRASH… The Young Nat’s Posters show a disappointing lack of initiative the final slogan in this post would have been more effective and would have registered with voters. Lukewarm polite disagreement won’t. So far CLARK hasn’t let a public moment pass without putting in a nasty jibe and she knows how to win, don’t National want to?

  18. philu (7437) Says:

is the realisation sinking in yet that it is all slipping away from you..?

  19. Lee C (3731) Says:

“He could call for mass deportation of Asian immigrants, and Helen would not rule him out.” Rush of blood? Come on now, DPF, that’s the kind of horse-pooky assumption that passes for coinage at the VDS – not here, mate.

[DPF: Not at all. Clark has shown herself to be so desperate for power, and so devoid of ethics in regards to Peters that she would excuse anything he does]

  20. beautox (123) Says:

Talking shit again, eh phil? Helen campaigning on trust is like phil campaigning on proper capitalization and grammar.

  21. philu (7437) Says:

no beautox..clark is going to hammer key..

and national have no coalition partners..eh..

Can a communist have a soul? Surely such a though would be against her ideology.
But then no soul, no morals, can never be wrong, her rules, Winnie is is okay till I don’t need you.

  27. Lindsay Addie (846) Says:

Why do I have the feeling that Helen banging on about ‘trust’ yesterday will become the famous last words of this campaign?

  28. holysheet (5) Says:

not even aunty’s girlfriend would dare stand in the way of auntys new found “friendship” with winston. The dirt he must have on her will be of this magnitude. Remember the headlines years ago “I am not a lesbian”?
    Winston knows something.

  35. slightlyrighty (1334) Says:

Ever since the theft of $800k and the subsequent legislative change to cover her ass, I have feared how far Helen Clark will go to retain power. I hope the MSM keep a close eye on her. Till recently I have despaired at them ever doing so, but with the likes of Audrey Young on the job, I have more hope!

Actually, he told her the whole truth……..

    ……or a media frenzy……..

…….and now they are fused at the hip……..

What a surprise: the cook/baker supporting Helen, Winston and her venal allies? And he calls himself a Green (deluded, bewildered, and outspaced)?

    Rightly so, I reckon.

  42. Nomestradamus (2044) Says:

  46. John Ansell (488) Says:

‘Slippery John’ is a very dangerous nickname – for Labour.

‘Sleazy Helen’ is much more plausible.

If Labour keep telling lies about National, the Nats might just abandon the positive campaign and start telling the truth about them.

Part of the strategy should be to make potential Labour aupporters feel unclean – and that means marshalling the mountain of evidence in the most compelling way.

  51. Southern Raider (1212) Says:

National needs to take the underbelt hits from Labour and keep on driving the positive message. Labours strategy will be to bring Key down to the evil ones level.

Joihn should just use lines like “Thats her opinion and its humbling that she’s paying so much attention to what I’m doing, I wish I could reply but I’m too busy focusing on a better and more positive NZ”

  52. Don the Kiwi (353) Says:

……..and Philu continues to demonstrate that he is a pathetic brain dead troll

  53. kiwipolemicist (393) Says:

Unlike Helen, Key doesn’t like dealing with crooks and liars.

Helen needs Winston as much as Winston needs Helen. Helen needs Winston to have power, and Winston needs Helen to have power. If Helen isn’t in power after the election (pretty please) but Winston is in parliament, then Winston be a back bencher and like one of annoying little dogs that bite your ankles and yap a lot.

Pigs in a sty usually lie together.

Think about it, it’s a a double entendre :) Post a comment on my blog if I’ve lost you.

    http://www.kiwipolemicist.wordpress.com

  54. Portia (172) Says:

So far National appear to be playing a very risky game, ie assuming that an appetite for change will be enough for victory, so they can afford to be coy about what they’d do if elected to government. This is a dangerous strategy, as it may gift to Labour the opportunity to replay the “Secret Agenda” record, over and over and over. Also, it could be based on a false sense of security – voters may flirt with the new for a while but when push comes to shove, go for the safer “devil that is known” option.

I also worry about John Key. Watching him tonight on TV3, he comes across as such a thoroughly decent man. But not entirely comfortable, especially when dealing with conflict and dissent. This doesn’t engender confidence, especially when coupled with the “Fresh” buzzword (which, according to my dictionary, can mean – of a person – attractively youthful and inexperienced). He’s got to be careful not to suffer the same fate as other Mr Nice Guys.

So during this campaign, I’d like to see JK come out on the front foot, artfully dodge the mud missiles and confidently spell out in unequivocal terms exactly what National will do in government; punctuated by some exciting, innovative and intelligent policy announcements.

  55. Duxton (335) Says:

    Pathetic, philu, pathetic.

  56. getstaffed (4600) Says:

…confidently spell out in unequivocal terms exactly what National will do in government

A Royal Commission into political corruption would be a good start. Our current *cough* leadership are inspirations for the next generation of chardonnay despots the world over.
