At 10 am today

October 29th, 2008 at 7:58 am by David Farrar

The image above is being erected onto a billboard on Hewletts Road, Tauranga at 10 am this morning.

We hope the residents and visitors of Tauranga and Mount Mauganui enjoy it.

It has been planned for some time. It is pure coincidence that it goes up the day after television reveals that Winston aggressively lobbied for to be appointed Consul to Monaco. But we are very happy with the timing.

The timing will only fuel the Baubled One’s belief that sinister dark forces are conspiring to get him.

I wish you had one to go up in Rimutaka as well. Clark must be tossing up whether or not to try and give Ron Mark a life line – or set the Corrupt pricks of NZ First out to sea.

No matter – in 10 days the unemployment line will get just a little longer.

    That’s ballsy. Good on you.

If that doesn’t get publicity, nothing will. Oh wait, it’s not anti-national so the MSM will ignore it.

I hope it is hanging up somewhere high and monitored by cameras DPF.

Hard to believe that Peters is still denying any knowledge of the donation. I guess there is no way for him to back down now. He is looking a very sad pathetic figure.

How has Clark come out of this without stinking like shit? She knew about everything. Unbelievable.

Can you please stop using the word “erect” in association with pictures of Luigi? I’ve had a nice breakfast and I’d like to keep it, thanks.

    Yep, good one DPF.

Now, if someone would just do the same for LABOUR, the wording of this very poster would be extremely appropriate seeing it has been revealed that they have held fundraising evenings in recent weeks where anonymous donations of wads and wads of crispies were left in a hat, to the tune of up to $200,000.

Faaaaak, if the NATS did that, that alone would be an election loser, yet this gets no media traction whatsoever.

Nice work. All you need is a picture of Helen Clarke in the backgroung covering her eyes and ears and it would be perfect.

    David, thank you.
I donated some money originally to the cause and to be honest thought it was well worth while.
Now I feel like I got the deal of the century and to know that the small amount i dontated has helped with this latest campaign has absolutly made my day.

    Keep up the good work!

Clark said that she “became so concerned with Winston Peters’ lobbying for Owen Glenn to become honorary consul to Monaco that she told the Foreign Affairs Ministry to let her know if it happened again”. The only thing that she hasn’t revealed is the date that she told them. I’m picking it was a long time before February of this year.

But even if it was February – how come she was still able to “take the word of an honourable gentleman”, but at the same time she was watching him like a hawk?

When you say “cash”, that wouldn’t be for Winston personally of course. That would be for the trust that he’s set up. You know, the Campaign Against Seal Hunting, which he’s patron of and which is administered by his lawyer and “blood brother”.

Yep even though the number of MPs stays the same, seems that the new Nats will be coming in fresh from the real life workplace, and those heading out will be going to ………..

Great. I’m heading in to Hewlett’s Rd to take a photograph to send to all my out-of-town mates.

By the way, it’s interesting that all ZB radio advertising in Tauranga for the Peters Party is aimed at attracting the party vote – not for the Tauranga candidate. Perhaps he’s given up.

The billboard looks great. Not quite perfect exposure, but very good nevertheless.
Now I’m waiting to hear the angry shouted haka from somewhere by the Citizen’s Club….or the Cosmopolitan Club…….or one of the bars on the Strand…………….or maybe from under a rock on the foreshore —-Who cares?
    Oh…….hang on………Winston doesn’t speak Te Reo. (That’s ‘Maori’, Winston)

    Straightforward question:

Why hasn’t Winston been forced to resign?

Or why hasn’t he been sacked?

    This whole scam is deplorable.

Glutaemus, there are those of us who know exactly why Winston has not been sacked, and it’s explosive! If the MSM ever got hold of it, or had the guts to publish, Labour would be lucky to get 20% of the vote!

But the GREAT DENIER as I now label Clark can only hope her GREAT PROTECTOR as I label Luigi does not have a sense of moral remorse on 9th Nov and decide the citizens should know of which we speak

Now that’s what I call a billboard. Well done DPF. No ambiguity, no chance of deflecting and dissembling by the appeasement faction with their faux outrage over pics of Chairman Mao etc. Narrowly pips the Greens for “Best Outdoor Ad of the Campaign”. I’m impressed… and that happens less and less nowadays :-D
