Actually d4j, red + yellow = orange (as any colour wheel will tell you).
When orange was introduced into politics (in the Ukraine in 2004) it led to widespread vote fraud and the attempted assassination of anti-communist leader Viktor Yushchenko by dioxin poisoning.
There’s even a movie about it, the tagline of which could be a prescient echo of NZ, circa 2008, under the EFA: “The election was stolen. The battle lines are drawn”.
So you might be onto something even though you did mix your colours up
