Colin James on Economy
October 28th, 2008 at 6:43 am by David FarrarOne sentence worth extracting:
Helen Clark has resurrected a goal of getting into the top half of the OECD in wealth but is promising more of the policies that have taken us down, not up, that ladder.
Indeed.

Hollow words from Hels.
The fun aspect is that the New Zealand sheeple voted for this decline. Will they vote for another three years of decline under Hels?

Hey, I think the five-headed monster has aspirations of getting NZ to near the top of another list, the Third World, not the OECD. Looks like they are on track!

conveniently ignoring the rest of his reasonably balanced article are we dpf? You know, the part where he said the nats didn’t have anything to get us there either…

Thanks for that reference May- a good article.
Interesting statistic-
“Over 2000-2007, New Zealand’s real GDP per capita grew at 2.1% per year, while the average growth rate for the rest of the OECD was 2.4% (or 1.8% if weighted by population).”
Sounds to me as if the whole damn OECD is a basket case.

New Zealanders love being poor. It’s dreams come true time in kiwiland.

So many kiwi’s are now tainted by government handouts, that overall they don’t aspire to anything…she’ll be right mate, Helen will take care of us.

Lets face it, if you’ve agot a tick winning policy, roll it out again and see if anyone salutes it. If they don’t you can always say it’s an aspiration not a policy!

Unbelievable she would trump out a policy that she has failed miserably to deliver on. Pure narcissistic delusion. Party vote ACT.

Where did she bring it up again that she wanted to climb up the OECD? Not doubting, just want to know so I can quite her on it…
