Paul, we're going to spend our spare time after the election, looking for pinko fuckwits like YOU. When located we are going to give them such a TASERING that they'll be too frightened to ever be seen near a polling booth again! We'll then come back to KiwiBlog to compare notes and issue awards for number of proven 'kills' etc (need a friend with mobile phone to record action and upload to YouTube).

Actually dumbfuck, we'll all go back to managing our own lives have achieving our goal of bringing down the evil witch and her army of goblins! Suggest you slink away and find a good sewer to hole up in, before we track you down...

Part 4 - echos of the future plans for the EFA anyone?
Part 5 - is just damn scary, although NZ gets a good mention.

Here's general debate for you and this is a serious question.

What is to become of Kiwiblog after Nov 8 if national does win the election?

I mean the whole point of this blog has become about what dirty little buggers the rest of society is and that National is almighty and all knowledgeable and seemingly without fault.

I mean in National get in, and they are without fault, what the hell are you all going to moan about. Do you start getting a posse up and paying a vist to those in the neighbourhood which don't meet the expectations of the right (don't laugh Jenny Shipley urged us all to look over the fence to see who is sleeping in who's bed - on national TV).

Or does Kiwiblog just die down to a trickle of posts and comments about 'told you so' and 'aren't we brilliant'. See Simon Power moaned that Labour didn't 'Stomp' out crime, so I look forward to this government eradication of crime and the back slapping mutual admiration society that will be kiwiblog.

Don't tell me you'd actually be critical of crap National government decisions, oh I don't know like the ones that have already got the back up of Business New Zealand, Manufacturers and Exporters Association, Bernard Hickey, Infometrics and most other right wing thinkers including Rodney Hide recently. Can't be true National with fault? Say it ain't true.

Just a thought.

For fuck's sake people - who gives a shit if he is wearing a seatbelt? Do you realise that you are only uncomfortable about it because of a successful propaganda campaign by labour? If you don't wear your seatbelt, your tiny chance of being killed in an accident is increased slightly. The reason we wear our seatbelts is because labour want to save ACC costs. If you don't want to wear one you shouldn't have to! Abolish ACC and let people do what the fuck they like and suffer the consequences at their own expense. We used to drive cars with a dozen kids piled in the back on each others knees - no seatbelts. No one seemed to think there was a problem until Labour started with the propaganda to tell us it was wicked and evil.

How ridiculous is it that we are now zooming in on photos to prove that John Key was wearing a seatbelt because if he wasn't it is clearly from the devil?! Who gives a shit? If they crash and he dies because of it - it was his choice. Labour - get the fuck out of my house and my car!

Hey CraigM.
I looked closely at the John Key videos with him in the front seat. I worried that he wasn't wearing a seat belt. However, in one part of the film you can see part of the belt poking out from the car wall, so I think he is actually wearing the belt.
There are some screen captures over at geekzone forum that show the belt, which you should be able to google for.

Re Winston peters and Kiwibank, here's a scenario that might be worth considering.

First, the facts:

1. Peters has already made it clear that he will not support a govenrment that includes the Greens.

2. John Key has said that after the election his party will not work with Winston Peters.

3. Whichever party wins the election will need to raise money quickly, and from within NZ, to keep the banking system afloat. One way of doing this is to float 40% of Kiwibank, with a stipulation that only NZ residents can buy the shares. the same would go with Kiwirail, although that is such a dog that no-one with any business sense would buy shares in it.

Following the election, National gains the most seats and votes, but falls short of a majority. NZ First gets back into Parliament, but Peters realises that a Labour-NZ First-Greens-Maori Party-Jim Anderton party government is untenable. the banking system is on the verge of collapse, and John Key is forced to choose between tax cuts and injecting money into the banking suystem. Peters offers to go with National, with the understanding that Kiwibank can be floated on his terms, and that National must uphold NZ First's commitments to NZ Superannuation (which National has already done). This enables National to go through with tax cuts, and to allow partial privatisation.

Either Key puts the Party ahead of himself, and resigns as National Party leader. Bill English becomes PM, and Winston Peters becomes deputy PM

or Key and Peters argue the accommodation is for the national (small 'n') good, and Key stays on. Neither Nationals, ACTs, or NZ First's supporters complain.

Southern Raider,

sorry, I should have been clearer, but I was only referring to the news programs themselves, not the opinion programs that come after.

If we are talking about them then I fully agree. Despite being a lefty (at least I think he is), John Campbell is a very objective, fair and balanced pundit and interviewer, a genuinely decent guy and entertaining to watch. Sainsbury is a biased joke, who allows lefties a free reign to rant and never asks them hard questions.

Medals Return to Army Museum, and so our brave paid soldiers engage yet again on a haka, why so many hakas, and to inane objects like medals? Ah, this must be part of the training...of course, silly me, they get fit by dancing....they could do the tango instead, lots of leg work......

Back to the Tauranga Boys High mock election.

This result, if translated to election day, is an increase to 71% from 45% (which was the national share of the party vote in Tauranga in '05)

If this is representative of the pulse of the nation, I can't wait for Nov 8

"Does National have a policy of funding lower taxation rates by stopping the state’s spending under Labour on the masturbation of the intellectually disabled?"

Now I've heard everything, tax payers money to help intellectually disabled squeeze the squid.
The poor people are probably just pointing to go to the toilet and then some govt funded whore turns up and introduces them to mrs PALMer.
What a flaming joke this country is becoming.

Lee have to slightly disagree. John Campbell just did a brilliant piss take of the Labour Over 60's book.

It shows where all our hard earned money goes.

The book has important hits to old people like
- don't go out with bundles of money
- don't cross a busy road
