Matt Robson on John McCain Add this story to Scoopit!.

I blogged a couple of days ago about what Matt Robson said on Back Benches about John McCain:

As I said at the time:

They were talking about the US election and Obama and McCain. Wallace Chapman mentioned that McCain was around the same age as Jim Anderton, and Robson’s nasty littlre retort was:

But Jim can put his hands up over his head and claim victory, McCain can’t do that

How disgusting is that? To denigrate a man who is crippled due to years of torture as a prisoner of war? From Wikipedia:

In August 1968, a program of severe torture began on McCain. He was subjected to rope bindings and repeated beatings every two hours.

Some of the injuries came from his initial treatment when shot down:

Some North Vietnamese pulled him ashore, then others crushed his shoulder with a rifle butt and bayoneted him.

Now this is a war crime and against the Geneva Conventions. Robson has spent a lifetime going on about the Geneva Conventions, and war crimes, but then shows his real colours, by justifying the torture of McCain (after Paul Quinn pulled him up for his offensive comments), and bayoneting of a wounded surrendered solider on the basis that McCain had taken part in a war that killed a lot of people.

Now above is the video extracted onto You Tube, so people can easily judge for themselves what Robson was doing. Prog Blog has ludicrously tried to argue Robson was referring to McCain not winning as why he would not be raising his hands in victory, but that is crap as Robson explictly refers to the inability to raise his hands. Prog Blog should be ashamed it is trying to defend such a loathsome comment from Robson.

It is worth remembering that Robson is the Deputy Leader of the Progressive Party which is a formal part of the Government. Wonder what Phil Goff thinks of his comments?

Robson is a filthy commie – Along with Winnie I wish Jamerton would be evicted – Robson however will be odds on to take over in a bye election in March 2009. Jamerton will not have the stomach for another 9 years of oppposition. He will retire and try to make way for Robson.

This was truely a nasty thing to say and do – but such is the gutter standard we now expect from the left.

What a disgusting piece of shit Robson is
I thought no body picked up on it at the time but I can’t beleive he even tried to defend what was a extremely sick joke

  4. Seán (345) Says:

And I noticed the person to his right had a good ol laugh. Had a red ribbon on so assume was a Labour candidate?

  7. Barnsley Bill (742) Says:

Everybody should blog this and email the clip to as many people as possible.
    I have.
These people are not normal, born to rule motherfrickers who have nothing in common with decent members of our society.

    C U N T … dirty mongrel cunt!

Sorry DPF … I will take my banning like a man… but there is no better word for that fucktard Robson than C U N T ! ! !

  9. coge (105) Says:

At the start it looked like he put his foot in his mouth, & then he just kept on digging. Is Robson a bit of a drinker?

  10. Ross Miller (1,481) Says:

I doubt whether Robson has ever pulled on a military uniform. I suspect he spent his time avoiding military service in Australia. All of us who have served will view his comments with the contempt they deserve.

  11. Put it away (2,291) Says:

I’m with budgieboy, what a cunt Robson is. Ban me if you like, it’s worth it to use the only word that comes close to describing this fuckwit’s character.

  12. sam269 (39) Says:

The “torture” mustn’t have been that bad, after all McCain supports America torturing its detainees.

[DPF: Really? Can you cite a reference for that?]

  13. Banana Llama (1,105) Says:

He should be conscripted and put into a war zone =)

I hear Ambar is a nice place to do foot patrols.

  14. Brynn (3) Says:

What a shocker… That’s a petty and cruel comment. Robson didn’t know how to backpedal away from it. He was like Wiley Coyote in midair.

Gotta say though… I bet the people who are now insulting Robson in the most ostentatious way, feeling righteous and honorable, are the same people who are first to mock and laugh at any hapless pinko in similarly pretty and cruel ways.

  15. Fox (65) Says:

Time for Jim Anderton to pay a visit to the drycleaners. Looks like he’s got a big lump of shit stuck to one of his coattails…

Give the guy a break! He’s evidently a social misfit with borderline Aspergers who found refuge in a career in politics.

  17. getstaffed (7,395) Says:

Robson has the allure of something one finds on the side of their shoe.

Progressive voters: Hang your heads in shame. This festering turd can’t possibly represent your values. Moreover he makes a mockery of the very word ‘progressive’.

  20. DamnedAngry (242) Says:

So Lockwood makes mention of a couple of slightly un-PC FACTS and it’s the biggest RACIST news of the week. Yet this attack, by someone involved with a party of PC-Police, on a war hero with some handicaps due to abuse by his captors, only manges to get coverage on some Blogs…go figure.

Given our only source is John McCain himself it would be fair to treat these claims with a grain of salt. Certainly his captors interviewed recently denied any torture in prison and even went so far as to endorse him for president. Of course his captors might have a motivation for lying, but then so does a politician.

Of course John McCain is no stranger to handing out violence

Matt Robson is a grade one retard. I hope he never gets into Parliament again.

I remember the election that also had Norm Withers referendum — Matt had the arrogance to talk dismissively about the referendum result late on election night — even though the referendum received lot of support. His attitude was the whole lot of us who voted in favour did not count. All I could think of — was I want to see the reaction of that soft-@#%& if one of his family was attacked.

Maybe you can find the clip and put it on. Just seeing the smug arrogance on his face would put people off voting for him.

  23. expat (3,684) Says:

The cloistered halls of power aye, sounds like Jim and Matt have got too used to being under Huluns skirt.

    Dont Vote Progressive.

natural party of govt – how likely do you reckon it is for his captors to spontaneously ‘fess up to war crimes ?

  27. Lee C (4,120) Says:

Like ’60 dead’ Written on ‘the back of an envelope’ – Like Lincoln’s Gettysburg Address) , ‘You can’t trust them’ ‘I knew nothing about Mike’s trip.’ and ‘I had no idea how fast the car was going.’

Great to see some refreshing objectivity entering the debate.

  28. rightwingprof (10) Says:

“Given our only source is John McCain himself ”

Wrong, bozo. He wasn’t the only POW in the Hanoi Hilton. As for “torture,” McCain is solidly against it. That doesn’t mean, however, that he’s willing to put on a pair of frilly pink panties like the Europeans and ask the terrorists over to sing kumbayah, like Obama.

Our local moonbats did the same thing about his teeth. They did have the decency to shut up when they found out that the gooks had broken his teeth off at the gum line.

  30. dime (3,925) Says:

look at the delivery of the line by this prick. he cant believe how clever he is. imagine how this woulda gone down at a progressive party dinner… they woulda loved it

“oh matt has always been the funny one”

Well at least 1 candidate in the upcoming American election is running on a platform of “vote for me, I commit war crimes” see http://norightturn.blogspot.com/2008/10/party-of-torture.html

Torture! Only OK when used on people we don’t like!

Fuck you, its either ok or its not. If its wrong to torture McCain then its wrong to torture people in Iraq, if its right to torture people in Iraq then it was right for McCain to be tortured. You decide.

  33. Lee (627) Says:

“Fuck you, its either ok or its not. If its wrong to torture McCain then its wrong to torture people in Iraq, if its right to torture people in Iraq then it was right for McCain to be tortured. You decide.”

    No, fuck you.

McCain has repeatedly said that he opposes the use of torture. The incidents that happened in Iraq had nothing to do with McCain. Supporting the Iraq war does not mean that an individual supports everything single incident that may happen during that war, anymore than supporting the removal of Hitler and the defeat of the Nazi’s means that a person had to support the fire bombing of Dresden.

So far you and the other left wing turds on this post have done nothing except spout conspiracy theories that have no evidence and accuse McCain of supporting things he has clearly said he does not.

    Pathetic, gutless, hate-mongering turds.

  34. thedavincimode (2,769) Says:

Oh deary me. Why is everyone getting into such a lather?

Don’t you all expect this and much worse? Certainly nothing better.

The Leader and the cronies don’t have a defensible position in ensuring that their brand of government permeates and intrudes into every aspect of out lives. They don’t have a defensible position on the theft of public money to finance their agenda and purporting to legitimise that theft by statute. They don’t have a defensible position about dancing hand in hand with corruption. They can’t defend the lies and deceit in which they indulge in order to further their agenda. They don’t have a credible explanation as to why the gazillions of moolah that are poured into health, education, police … etc etc aren’t producing results. They just point to how much they’ve spent and how much more of your money they are going to spend.

So how do they deal with that little problem? Easy. The lofty, haughty and arrogant dismissal of a contrary view; in other words, the classic refuge for those who just don’t have an answer and aren’t prepared to admit it. The gratuitous insult and the smear. It’s the endless fear mongering and misrepresentation of contrary positions knowing that some of what they say will stick. It’s the stuff of the student politics.

I can’t say that I could even be bothered looking at the Robson remarks. But I expect that it falls into the gratuitous insult category and was cunningly designed and deployed in order to elevate Jumblanderton from his position as The Leader’s ottoman to being perceived as the global leader and visionary that he is not.

But why the excitement? We see it every day. Its relentless. Do these little pearls from The Leader ring any bells? “Conservatives don’t have compassion” (ie conservatives want to see the streets full of homeless, impoverished and disease ridden people); “I don’t think that most kiwis would want that” (ie “I don’t want that and its not going to happen”); “I think that most kiwis would want that” (ie I want that and its going to happen”, and of course the catch-cry that surpasses even Ruth Richardson’s “mother of all budgets” namely, yes, you guessed, “This election is all about trust”.

It isn’t just The Leader and Robson: what about the rest of them – the flush-faced accomplice, Duckman, Batman, Maharey (no more), ‘oops, I just re-discovered myself over the weekend Goff’, Lizzzzard, C_liffe, Dyson, ‘she who spreads her excrement over her lettuces’, and her appalling colleague whose name I can’t even bring myself to type for fear of the frightful images it conjures up. What about Jumblanderton himself who proudly proclaims from his seat of 18th century recidivism that “I’m not going to let them sell Kiwibank” (that proud, if not somewhat empty resolution possibly got him over 0.8% to 0.81%). They’re all at it; its all they’ve got and its all they know.

Do yourselves a favour – chill. There is just no point in getting excited about these remarks. They have absolutely no shame, but we know that already.

Save your energy for the big day or the Dominion’s next story.

Send him to some socialist shithole like the slums of Caracas which is about three times as violent
At least he’ll be happy if he murdered by a leftist
