Support the Auckland City Mision

December 15th, 2008 at 7:00 pm by David Farrar

A great initiative from the Mashup Mafia:

The Mashup Mafia are proud to announce that Low Rollers will host it’s second annual Christmas charity appeal for the on Thursday 18th of December at Auckland’s leading night life venue The Carpark Bar. So after the remarkable contribution put forward by the Auckland drum & bass community last year, we’re back to do it again – except this time, on a much much much larger scale!!

This year we are working hard alongside key sponsors to bring one of the biggest names in drum and bass – FUTUREBOUND – direct from the United Kingdom here to Auckland for one night only! We’re also planning a mind blowing audio-visual experience like never before, and we’ve even drawn support acts from around the country for what we believe is going to be the biggest feel-good drum and bass event of 2008!

Orcon are also giving away some free bar tabs to their customers, to encourage people along.

Orcon would do better to offer their customers a decent standard of service.

Is the Auckland City Mision a charity that assists dyslexics? :)

I was gobmacked to discover Orcon is government-owned (via Kodia, the old BCL subsidiary of TVNZ).

I just came from the Auckland City Mission.

I was travelling from the Bay of Islands and became stuck in auks. (Hitching)

An acquaintance from Hamilton spotted me and took me there.

After I explained my situation I was given two nights free accomodation and meals until I could catch the train out.

Was an enjoyable, comfortable and very friendly experience from all I met.

sometimes we find lifes better moments in places we don’t expect…. and are poorer for missing those experiences in more ‘comfortable’ lifestyles.
Really enjoyed my train trip too. $29 between Auks and Hams. Cruisy as.
