Glutaemus – They were reporting on BBC that 13,000 familes in teh UK have lost their homes to mortgagee sales in the last 3 months? Is it THAT bad over there – or is 13,000 not a big number?

My prediction is that the Uk will be the worst affected country in Europe.

The issue is that this gives China (and Japan) the ability to manipulate the USD – to crash it, if it wants to. Of course this has a downside to China (and Japan) as well since it undermines its biggest customer. However as we all know, in geopolitics, there are usually deeper meanings beyond the merely superficial.

Has China (and Japan?) already sold? The bond price until recently was holding at a curiously inflated level (around 140 – it’s now 129) – If Uncle Sam’s been buying them – then why? Does not benefit the US taxpayer, at all. And who was selling?

With their credibility so questionable, why would any sane person think an article from these sources would be worth referencing here as a means of supporting any argument?? Utterly mystifying. No, I don’t think the US or indeed even Bush himself ever really wanted to invade, wiki. The US knew the consequences. The Iran invasion propaganda is driven by Israel. Always was.

Some of the “Bush et al’s” were very keen on it as a result of their sycophantic Israel-first attitude, but IMO, the US defense and most of the political establishment including Bush himself, resisted such action to the end. Thank goodness.

Iran is huge. An Iranian told me its people have no fear of being invaded, the country is just too big.

The Israelis were after a base from which to attack Iran without mid-air refueling, a capacity which (for that operation) the US had denied them. That’s why they were in Georgia.
