I understand backbenchers is repeated on TV7 – anyone know when the tvnz search engine spits the kumura when I try and search for it?

What excellent news in the post above.

  9. MajorBloodnok (328) Says:

Like slijmbal, I struggle to watch anything from TVNZ online. Would love a link that worked!

Failing that, some tidbits from the man who understands business v the man who hates business?

  10. Hagues (711) Says:

Is this streamed live, or does it turn up on the net to watch at all? Would love to see it, but no free view.

  11. ISeeRed (217) Says:

  16. greenfly (1,059) Says:

Dessicated, brittle vellum meets a flask of nitric acid, result? Not pretty.

  17. big bruv (9,840) Says:

    Hey Greenfly

I think you owe everybody here (certainly those who have an interest in animal welfare) a huge apology.

Your scaremongering re live Sheep exports has proven to be nothing but another blatant lie from you and the Greens.

  18. greenfly (1,059) Says:

How so Big Bro? (I’m happy to apologise if your reply is decipherable – tell me what I said that was wrong).

  19. Inventory2 (7,223) Says:

big bruv – greenies don’t do apology, because even when they are wrong, they believe hey are right!

  20. greenfly (1,059) Says:

I apologise for constantly upsetting you Inventory2 and making you say stupid things.

  21. Brian Smaller (3,409) Says:

wish he’d pull his head in

I wish you’d pull your head out !

Impossible, greenfly’s head is so far up the fundament of her political masters that someone would have to pull her feet to get her out.

  22. lofty (1,199) Says:

2 has beens go head to head………..wooo hoooooo….YAWN

  23. greenfly (1,059) Says:

Brian – and yet I can see quite clearly from in here!

  24. greenfly (1,059) Says:

Cullen will slay the old fossil (unless he has a ‘we’re in this together old grey bro’ moment).

  25. side show bob (3,646) Says:

    This should screen on WWF.

  26. village idiot (748) Says:

IMAGINE if it were Cullen and ENGLISH! Massacre!

  27. big bruv (9,840) Says:

As long as the host lets each of them speak and as long as that same host can keep what I suspect will be a huge turn out from Labour scum (Clinton Smith and the left wing rent a crowd) under control then Sir Roger will expose Kullen as the fraud and fiscal fool that he is.

Sir Rog will massacre Kullen, I wish I could attend.

  28. Patrick Starr (3,662) Says:

Jeezus. A quarter of the posts on this thread are from bloody gan grenefly. Sounds like a bit of an obsession with sir roger

  29. big bruv (9,840) Says:

    Greenfly

You need to apologise because the comments you and the Greens made re the resumption of live sheep exports is not true, there are NO plans to reintroduce live sheep exports, the government is simply looking at the possibility of them resuming and from the enquires I have made a resumption is highly unlikely.

See that is the difference between the Greens and those of us who do care about animal welfare, whereas I have real concerns about this trade you guys have shown that you do not give a shit, you are nothing but liars and frauds when it comes to animal welfare.

You lied, the Greens lied (nothing new in that) and used a sensitive issue to score cheap political points for your shitty little party, you owe us an apology.

  30. greenfly (1,059) Says:

    stuff.co.nz (yesterday)

    Live sheep exports to resume

The Government intends ending the six-year moratorium on live sheep exports but says it will have to be assured the animals are properly treated on the trip to Saudi Arabia and when they get there.

Agriculture Minister David Carter has confirmed shipments would resume under those conditions, distressing the Green Party and animal rights activists.

    You what?

  31. salt (48) Says:

Damn that sounds awesome! Wish I didn’t have to wait until tomorrow to see it “ondemand” ( I demand it now, dammit! why not now?!?!). Why couldn’t this be next week’s BB??!!

  32. big bruv (9,840) Says:

    Greenfly

That is outdated and incorrect information, whats more you and I both know that to be the case.

    Now where is the apology?

  33. greenfly (1,059) Says:

Post me the up-to-date information Big bruv and the apology is yours. Please make it a link so that I can read the full account (in the interests of fairness.

  34. OECD rank 22 kiwi (2,528) Says:

It will be interesting to see how this goes. Roger Douglas will clean the floor with Cullen.

  35. OECD rank 22 kiwi (2,528) Says:

Have we got some feedback yet?

This has got to be the best lineup Backbenches has ever had. What pearls of wisdom were gleamed from the night’s discussion?

  36. clintheine (1,320) Says:

Put it this way, Greenfly is obsessed about Sir Rogers age. He has called him an “old fossil” “Dessicated, brittle” and a “dried parchment”

Is this the way you treat your elders Greenfly? I bet you were thrilled to see the Sir Edmund Hillary die too weren’t ya?

  37. James (1,338) Says:

This has got to be the best lineup Backbenches has ever had. What pearls of wisdom were gleamed from the night’s discussion?”

That the format is shit…its too short and flakey….I was impresssed by Douglas not huarling a glass at the yobs in the audience and yell”Do you want a fucking ansewr to the question you inbred welfare birther cretins!!!?

It was good Franks was there to assit as Roger was never allowewd to reply without morons baying away..

Fitzsimmons got the biggest cheer for her vapid dross about wanting to live in a country that streals from people to give to scumy lossers or some such crap….

Until we gat a decent hour long studio based one on one interview program or a two person debate happening Im not wasting time on politics on NZ tv….backbenches treats it as a foolish jape and thats what comes accross…

  38. ISeeRed (217) Says:

Thanks, Graeme Edgeler, but TVNZ doesn’t stream shows to overseas viewers.

  39. greenfly (1,059) Says:

    Fitzsimmons got the biggest cheer

Goodness! David didn’t even mention that she was going to be there!
clintheine Is this the way you treat your elders Greenfly? No. I met Sir Ed and had a very pleasant chat with him. Good bloke. Douglas is antediluvian. :-) (don’t be so precious )

  40. LUCY (359) Says:

    So what happened?

  41. LUCY (359) Says:

Oh OK James. Guess I dont want to know anything more. Your response says it all

  42. clintheine (1,320) Says:

Greenfly, go ahead and avoid the question. Or do you think its clever to talk about our elder statesmen in the safety of your basement?

  43. clintheine (1,320) Says:

Hardly clever either, antediluvian is not what I’d call any politician. So what’s your obsession with his age?

  44. greenfly (1,059) Says:

clintheine – I didn’t avoid your question. I answered NO. Could I be any more forthright? However I do offer my apologies to you clint – if I’d known Roger was your great grandfather, I’d not have said those terribly hurtful things.

    Thanks for that, Graeme Edgeler.

I just watched the whole thing. Someone has done an impressive job getting this on there so quick.

My comment? If that wasn’t a rent-a-crowd audience, and it truly represents the future of NZ, we are SCREWED.

  46. big bruv (9,840) Says:

So I gather that the left wing rent a cunt crowd were out in force last night, I have to admit this is the reason I did not watch the show.

I get the impression from previous comments that Sir Roger was faced with abuse and interjections every time he tried to speak, why is it that the left are so keen to silence him?, are they scared that Sir Roger is saying exactly what the people want our political leaders to be doing?

  47. goonix (140) Says:

Host: “ACC is an efficient system”
Sir Roger Douglas: “ACC is bankrupt”.

    LOL!

  48. OECD rank 22 kiwi (2,528) Says:

Must get around to watching this episode sometime.
