Stupid
March 29th, 2009 at 7:41 am by David FarrarDeclaring your partner on Bebo, yet telling WINZ you live alone so you get an extra $340 a week in benefit, has to rank as one of the more stupid things someone can do.
Good to see WINZ on the ball.

Yep stupid alright.
Vote:Notice the sentence she got, it seemed quite harsh compared to other sentences for worse crimes (assault, GBH)I’ve read and heard about (not that it isn’t deserved).
Steal some money and the wrath of the state comes down upon you.
I wonder if they took a sample of her DNA?

“Then they looked at my Bebo page. It came as a big surprise when I was caught. I didn’t ever think they would look me up like that. It’s not really fair of them to do that,…”
if you still think that WINZ and other organizations still sending inspectors out who are lurking around your house in a long raincoat and their face hidden behind a newspaper which is 5 days old you deserve to be caught…

Yes, they’re pretty stupid. But do you know what I think is worse? It’s is telling the nation how you actually caught them!
Brillient.
Plus, I believe that all these TV crime dramas are teaching the criminals how not to get caught.

Speaking of stupid and benefit fraud, has there been any movement on that police officer wrestling yet unfit for work beneficiary Victoria Stevens? Last we heard, WINZ had demanded she see a doctor…

Particulary stupid, her comment “… If they (WINZ) don’t want it to happen they need to do something more about it. …”. Umm, how about investigating social networking sites?
Maybe most stupid of all – opting for 15 minutes of notoriety in the Sunday papers.

The most stupid thing about this is we actually have a stupid welfare system that pays stupid people like her to breed more stupid people

“It’s not really fair of them to do that,…”
And that ladies and Gentleman is the mindset of all dole and DPB bludgers.
It’s “not fair” that she got caught, but it’s “fair” that she is happy to sit on her fat backside stealing from those who work.

Marty, to be fair to WINZ, the method of catching this person would have had to be disclosed in open court.
Vote:March 29th, 2009 at 9:48 am
I like this comment from the fraudster……
“I just want people to know I’m not a bad person, I just did what I had to do to get by.”
Most people do not resort to fraud to do so….

And the photo that goes with the article pretty much sums it up.
Sad.

Looking for debtors that have moved e.g. tenants. Try Bebo and Face book. Works a treat.
Vote:Always get private motor rego numbers. wait for couple of months after rereg and check the new address.

$450 a week!?!? Is that how much these cunts get? Fucking stupid. There is many people doing this and they get away with it with ease. Good to seem them getting on top of this shit.
Vote:March 29th, 2009 at 11:58 am
The IQ of some of these bludgers hardly reaches double digits.
The saddest part is we are paying for these morons to breed.
Vote:March 29th, 2009 at 1:27 pm
Yes it is rather stupid.
Not nearly as stupid, however, as having the state so generously reward lying, and not nearly as creepy as having state employees browsing Bebo pages trying to catch people out.
Stupid, stupid and creepy.

From the article:
She has called on ministry staff to prepare a report on the issue, which costs taxpayers about $60 million a year.
What kind of a rubbish estimate is that?
Vote:March 29th, 2009 at 1:33 pm
Yes GOOD to see WINZ staff stalking their clients on the net.
Not at all creepy or dodgey.

So what was the point in catching he’s now moved out – and she’s gone straight back on the benefit?
“Kaney is back on a benefit – she now gets about $380 each week from WINZ, which includes an accommodation supplement. She receives a further Family Assistance payment of $86 per week from the Inland Revenue Department.”
FFS these people are electing to live apart so she can get continue getting the benefit.
Harden up Paula Bennett and WINZ – thats not what the benefit was designed for
Vote:March 29th, 2009 at 4:57 pm
In the recent past these bludgers had, to a person, voted Labour and WINZ were not encouraged to get at that voting bloc. Since 8th November 2008 we have seen a change in attitude in Government, and, by Christ, I am beginning to love it.
Vote:March 29th, 2009 at 6:29 pm
Winz on the ball? Nonsense. Someone would have dobbed her in.
Vote:March 29th, 2009 at 6:57 pm
slightlyrighty – The prosecutor can ask for suppression with regards to detection methods where it may compromise similr investigations. A prosecutor can also choose not to present evidence on what triggered an investigation especially when the investigation itself yields sufficient evidence. The prosecutor can also ask for the fraud method to be suppressed to try and stop copycat attempts.
It is unfortunately the case, but internet users who post candid and provocative views on the internet should not use their real identities unless they are self employed, of independent means or retired. Googling etc is now n established HR tool.

What I find most disturbing in this is that the family gets more taxpayer assistance if the father isn’t living with them. Wouldn’t it make more sense to incentivise the family to stay together?
Vote:March 30th, 2009 at 12:38 pm
Not if you goal is the dismantling of the family unit rightnow.
Vote:March 30th, 2009 at 12:41 pm
LOL!
PWNED…
Vote:March 30th, 2009 at 12:42 pm
YES Murray OF COURSE the goal is to dismantle the family unit. “They” really are that evil. And they’re coming to get YOU next!
I like you, but honestly some of the stuff you dream up is just astonishing…
