Wellington Mayoralty not on the radar

March 23rd, 2009 at 3:25 pm by David Farrar

Just an update to my post of 9 March where I said I thought Annette King would contest the Wellington mayoralty and Andrew Little would possibly enter Parliament in 2010 through a Rongotai by-election.

I had a very enjoyable chat with Annette today and she said that she had not had any discussions with anyone about standing and is very happy as the MP for Rongotai, and that the Wellington Mayoralty is not on her radar screen at all.

It wasn’t quite a Shermanesque statement, but very few politicians will do that. I told Annette that I was happy to inform people of her current intentions being firmly focused on Parliament.

Sorry DPF, as much as I try I cannot ever think of a set of circumstances that would make me want to anything other than abuse the hell out of that lying, thieving socialist low life, if she had been a bloke I would have been hard pushed not to thump him.
She is the woman who tried to silence opposition to her corrupt party, she is the woman who enjoyed stealing more money from me than her corrupt party needed for nine years and then wasted that money bribing Labour party voters.

Sometimes I get the feeling it is all a game to you DPF.

I can see signs of slow progress with DPF, big bruv. I have many times in the past called him a political stuffed shirt. People like you and I and Redbaiter understand that the Left are simply ruthless and stack everything against us at every opportunity.

Rush Limbaugh said it very well on that video that Redbaiter posted recently, that it is time conservatives used the same “power of big government” tactics against the Left as they use against us. “They would not know what hit them”, Limbaugh said.

She’s everything of the above and deserves our contempt. King is another corrupt socialist that embraced and advanced Clark’s agenda to NZ’s detriment.

Steady on DPF, come and spend a bit of time in the real word and you might understand what it is like.

By your own admission you spend a lot of time around pollies and Parliament, you cannot help but becomes detached from reality if you do spend a bit of time there.

However if you cannot take a comment (made without malice) about your proximity to a lot of Politician then I have either hit a raw nerve or you are a lot more sensitive than I first thought.

[DPF: I was objecting to your desire to do violence, than worried that you think I am too nice to MPs]

First of all I don’t care what you think, you opinion is irrelevant and unimportant to me.

But please, do not call yourself a “right winger”, you are a centrist at best and more than likely one who looks at the 08 election victory as a win for “your team” rather than the first step in very long road to correcting the many ills that plague this nation.

Like politics, you won’t get far getting information out of people for distribution on – say – a blog if you ignore people on the principle of political belief and cynicism. Well done DPF.

David surely you do not think this is the end of the matter. Just supposing she was equivocal. There would then be intense speculation about her position as deputy leader as well as speculation about her seat. So she did the next best thing by saying “it was not on the radar”. Well strictly that is true but it can come on to the radar when she is ready to make announcements. When she is ready for it to come on to the radar screen I doubt she will allow you to be her tool to start things going. So happily you conspire with her to kill the speculation. Well done for allowing yourself to be manipulated.

[DPF: Tm either you are a bit thick or you think I am. I am well aware Annette left open certain possibilities and I even referred to that. However as any newspaper would run her response to a suggestion she would run, I felt I should do the same.]

Nah, bullshit. You socialist centrists have no idea of why you win and what to do with the loser. You go all luvy dovy and be nice despite the fact that they will never treat you the same way. Do what the hori’s always did. Use them as slaves or throw them in the big pot and eat them. Maybe even tattoo their live faces, let them heal and then chop their heads off and sell them to the pommes.
Annihilate them never to rise again or you will be back in opposition before you know it. Lying cheating scum.

I hope like hell she does resign Parliament and trys to stand for Mayor Of Wellington – I will take much joy in voting for someone other than that filthy socialist. I am with Big Bruv on this one. I just hope that the apathetic leftard voters don’t bother voting and us righties bring home a good right leaning mayor. Then King can join the other loser ex-Labour MPs and Winston down at the local Winz office.

Other point – I am not sure King would confirm to you David whether or not she is standing as mayor in the knowledge you would run straight back to you blog to do a post – pretty much as you have done.

I’m with big bruv and Monty on this one. King is a complete waste of space. As she is the (cough cough) elected MP in my electorate I have written several letters to her about various things. I was pleased to get a response from her office but I must say she is the master of not answering specific queries.

Monty, you said; – “I am not sure King would confirm to you David whether or not she is standing as mayor in the knowledge you would run straight back to you blog to do a post”

I don’t credit her with having that much forethought. Cause and effect has never really been something socialists understand.

    Well yeah.

As a centre-right voter I’m very happy to have the Nats in power. But an equal and opposite reaction to the happiness is a sense of annoyance at what we had to put up with to get to this point. In my opinion Labour’s third term was borrowed time as it was.

“I did not have sex with that woman!!”………….Well perhaps King didn’t say that, but what she did say had the same degree of credibility, and who was behind the corruption at the Hawkesbay Health Board. There would be plenty of scope for self enrichment as Mayor of Wellington.
