User No 4,000
Earlier today Kiwiblog had its 4,000th registered user/commenter register. No 4000 was “shaun”.
That basically means there since I started requiring registrations a couple of years ago, over 4,000 different people have made at least one comment.
Readership has also gone up in 2009. It spiked in January (to my surprise), dipped in February but has been growing steadily the last six weeks or so. For the last month Google Analytics say there were almost 80,000 absolute unique visitors (not visits).

Well done Mr DPF, that is a lot of unique visits in one month.
Wonder how many newspapers are getting that level of uptake?
Be interesting to see how many ‘Uniques’ you get from Jan 1 to the end of the year?
Should be an interesting as a wager on that betting site you like so much.
Is that why you have gone far more centrist? Middle of the Road. Almost in the same range as JK.

It’s a lighter shade of blue that’s all and that is what people like about it. There is a sense that you can speak your mind and have a mind of your own when you visit here which is why people feel safe and welcome.
