The gap between National and Labour is a healthy 21% but this is down from 26% in March. This suggests the honeymoon is ending with National back down to the level it enjoyed in early 2008.

With Hel and Mich gone, Labour’s figures are rebounding. Go Goffy!

Saw Goff on Breakfast this morning talking to Alison Mau: he viewed being in opposition as a good thing. I suppose it is in a way. The other option was not being in the house at all. LOL He says Shearer know heaps about Mt. Albert, despite being out of the country for most of the 1990s and again since 2003. It seems to me that he probably knows more about Mt. Albert than he does the Labour Party.

Last night on the box Goff was all excited about reanimating dead MPs. Judith was labelled too far to the left and part of the Helen crowd and has officially been politically punctured – with pictures of her getting out of a ministerial car to prove it. Kommon Sense King was there too, grimacing like a mini-me at Goff’s shoulder. What’s become of her neck? It seems to have retracted into her spine – if she has one. She certainly has a nerve. The Mrs. walked in and said, ” He talks like Helen.”

Now then, that point in mid-march where the blue line takes a dive… that’s where the tax cut schedule was revised. ;) Get used to that diving action. It will be bettered only by Labour’s descent into obscurity.

Both parties seem to be having problems with their older members/ministers/shadows. Key has been smart to ditch some of them from cabinet but he his still stuck with a couple. The test for Gough will be the next preselections as he desparately needs to get rid of quite a few of his ex ministers and get some ideas people in.

Please tell me I’m wrong, but it looks like NZF is climbing back toward 5%

I think you will find that at least part of the dip last month was to do with which polls come out
