  1. Patrick Starr (3,673) Says:

well at last the herald mention it…….

“On Thursday night he came under fire over an appearance on Triangle TV’s Indian television programme, Roopa.
TV3 reported that Shearer had linked crime to the economy, the unemployed, migrant and Pacific communities, and then quoted his opponents condemning him as being anything from “a bit clumsy” (Russel Norman) to “patronising and arrogant” (Act’s John Boscawen.) Shearer, though, doesn’t reckon the parachute has any holes and said yesterday that he stands by his words”

well isnt that exactly what Melissa Lee tried to do? – stand by her words!

(maybe Goff will come out and say the comments were stupid?)

But Patrick you have the Labour candidate getting grilled on a channel no one watches.

Yet the main MSM seems to be fixated with stopping National at any cost from winning the Labour heartland seat of Mt Albert.

I’m sure if you had Miss Moustache Fran Mould and I’m a Golly Fat Man Garner following Shearer and Norman 24/7 and hounding them with questions they would make a slip up as well.

    Southen Raider.
This is a high profile by election, made all the more so by this blog and others putting the spotlight first on Twfold and then Shearer.
Back then it seems, there was alot of talk that the Nat candidate stood a chance with the Left vote spit.
This was before Lee was selected.
Make no mistake Lee was seen by Key et al of haviung the best shot at winning Mt Albert.

The fact that she has turned out to be a disaster is not the fault of the MSM
    Get real
You have to accept fact that the Nats fucked up

Thet fucked up with the job summit idea fest

    They fucked up with Rankin

The have fucked with the ramming through of Supercity anti democratic legislation

and they have fuck up with selecting Mellissa Lee

    Get over it

One has to say that reid has a point, if only the media would stop reporting what M. lee is actually saying, and concentrate on exposing the vast communist conspiracy against New Zealand that they themselves are members of.

I don’t need to read any whitewash in some discredited and cowardly commie rag to know what Shearer is about.

He wants to steal more of my money, he wants to deprive me of my property, he wants to regulate me more and he wants bigger and bigger government, but he won’t ever say that, and the Herald will never report it or inquire about it.

They’ll cloak these dirty ambitions in shallow deceit, perverse arguments and academic diversions, the kind of camouflage and waffle that you get amongst the socialist drones that populate the nauseating Public Address and other such gatherings of socialist scum.

The election is not about National and Labour, for National bring nothing to the table. Where are the ideological differences between Lee and Shearer?

The election is as always, a battle between the self appointed social elite of the left, in the Labour Party, the Watermelons and the National party, and NZ’s working middle class. The group that provides the wealth that these scum leach off.

Each election is a measure of how well the body of leftist elitists have succeeded in fooling the host they parasite off.

How I wish the beast would awaken in rage and turn on these lily livered deceivers. Tell Shearer and his colleagues they’ve had enough of their leeching and lies and their propaganda and their driving of our civilization into the gutter.

    Any rebels in Mt. Albert?

    Faint chance.

The article really tells me nothing more than he has not lived in New Zealand for years, and so does not know what is going on; and that he espouses the same shit as HC.

He can mouth off as much as he wants about the motorway – but it is a done deal and will not be changed – but he has nothing else to bring to the table. No spark, no individuality, no ideas………nothing for Mt Albert.

    Two points spring to mind
one is as National are finding out its a lot harder being Government then snipping from the sidelines

and the Greens increased thier vote by the biggest pecentage of the parties in NZ, So not inept at all then

The Herald is NZ’s very own New York Times, full of dribbling lefties shit scared the people will see through their bullshit. Shit you could put up a trained jackass and the Herald would write it up as God’s gift to the people of Mt Albert. It must be a bastard writing copy for the Herald, trying to dream up new lines the peasants haven’t heard in the last nine years.

    Tuija

    Dream on.

It’s not too hard to increase your vote by 100% when you start from a position of having fuck all votes. 100% increase means you now have two times fuck all votes. Which means you’ve got quite a way to go before you get to four fifths of fuck all votes.

    Good luck

If some party went from .1% to .2% in the party vote, but got a single electoral seat, would you be calling that 100% increase a huge win too?

And I think National is finding that it is harder being a Government of substance and integrity than it is to simply follow Labour and the Greens lead.

It’s actually really easy when you inherit an economy that had all the correct settings and then through none of your own doing that economy experiences global conditions which produce through none of your own doing massive and sustained growth throughout your entire term. Conditions to the extent that you can make appallingly poor investment decisions and still end up with year-on-year surpluses. A chimp could have run a good govt under those conditions.

The fact that Liarbore was only able to wring out two happy terms and then one really bad one, shows just how fucked they really are. Imagine if conditions had been normal. Hulun wouldn’t have lasted 5 mins.

  19. Kimble (3,696) Says:

Actually, now that I look at the numbers, ACT had the largest increase in the party vote (which is a better indicator of the popularity of a party). At least in percentage terms. In absolute numbers they were second to only National who increased their vote count by 163k.

The best the Greens could say is that they were the best loser. Which wasnt difficult, given that they were competing against one of the most arrogant political parties NZ has ever had, and one of the most corrupt.

Most people dont take the Greens seriously.

The Greens are like a bunch of children, living in their own little dream world.

They have the arrogance of teenagers, claiming to speak for people who are often the most harmed by their adolescent policies.

Their first, and often only, response to anything that doesnt feel right is to call for a ban.

They are protectionist when most thinking adults are free-trade.

They have a cartoonish view of all business being exploitation of some sort.

They are dishonest, even in their labeling of themselves; they arent a Green party, they are obviously Red.

They are scared little children who demonise those who disagree with them.

What is there to take seriously?

Every chance they won’t come from Mt Albert.

We all know Shearer is going to win by a landslide… Its who is going to come second that is of interest and by how much.
In New Zealand it is the one that comes fourth who is the real winner.. So the rest can only be loosers.

I’m hopping Rusty Kane the people’s choice comes fourth… and wins.
