Richard Worth + scandal = plummeting polls.

[DPF: You keep believing that. For months people have been predicting the polls would turn. It must upset so much when they don't]

NZ continues to languish. Where is the action from key? the outcomes of the job slumber party? Meanwhile, under a LABOR government, Australia continues to grow.

Time to toss out the national Socialists, swallow any remaining national pride and become a state of Aus. Might even end up with a team to win the RWC. :-)

Agree Muz that Keys firm action is a winner for the Nats. He’s shown labour how to deal with rouge ministers – shame it will probably be forgotten by the time they are in power again…

  9. Bevan (3,952) Says:

Meanwhile, under a LABOR government, Australia continues to grow.

Wont last long now that the country is seeing another side of Mr Rudd, his shine is starting to come off. People dont like to hear their Prime Minister has reduced an air hostess to tears just because they didnt have the meal he wanted.

Also, that report has to be the only one Ive heard saying Australia are doing well. The morning news, and newspapers have been filled lately with multi billion deficits (both federal and queensland state), massive job losses, etc. And I dont think too many Aussies read the NZ Herald to get the good news either…

Now you have TWO reports saying Aus doing better than NZ, one of which is from OZ. happy now?

No, didn’t think so, here’s another one.

How’s NZ and John Key doing again?

[DPF: Umm we went into recession a year before Key became PM. The Govt's first budget was just a few days ago. So who is to blame for the recession since Jan 08? Pretty obvious]

  15. MyNameIsJack (2,415) Says:

The question remains – what is Key and the national Socialists doing? Where are the job creating outcomes from the jobs talkfest? How many people have retrained for worthwhile careers on their 10th day? Why are job creating programmes being slashed? How many more people will the national Socialists sacrifice on the altar of Hide’s Auckland destruction?

Come on John Key, stop faffing about and GOVERN!

    MNIJ,
Do you call multi billion federal deficits – doing well?
Do you call the Queensland State government flogging off 15 billion of state assets just to reduce the states budget deficit doing well?
Do you call having the states credit rating reduced from AAA to just AA+ doing well?

    You should resume your medication.

The next polls will be interesting. The Melissa Lee effect ought to have kicked in, parts of South Auckland and West Auckland are already back in the fold, thank you very much. The female vote will be disturbed, that nice Mr Key seems to have been spending some time with somewhat distasteful if not criminal people.

And it took him 8 days to act and he only turns up today looking grumpy? Anyone think that the grumpiness may have been a little bit feigned?

In 2 weeks Labour will have a resounding win in Mount Albert. And in 3 months people will be really wondering if this Government is actually thinking about the big issues. For me I think that power has gone to their heads …

Labour was always going to win Mt Albert – for crying out loud it is one of Labour’s safest seats. The fact that there was the odd whisper of internal polls showing National within 2-3 reflects badly on Labour not National. Lee is not the candidate to pull off what would be a historic upset. From memory the only time an incumbent government has won a safe seat off its Opposition rival in a by-election was under your namesake in the late 30′s. Labour should always be winning this seat “resoundingly”.

Remind us again about what your dear UN esconsed leader did about the police’s prima face case of assault by David Benson – Pope against school children? As I recall – zip. In the end she sacked him only because he lied to Parliament over the sacking of the Environment Ministry PR person who happen to be partners to one of Key’s staff.

Key has dealt as swiftly and decisively as he could on this issue – NZers will not hold it against him or his government that one of his ministers may have commited a crime.

    David,

Can you extend back the graph? I’d be interested to know the last time Labour had three out-turns where each was successively ‘better’ than the last (as the most recent four months show).

It could be the start of a worrying trend…
