You really don’t get where I am coming from, do you? I agree with you re Tizard – she was the worst MP to ever become a Minister, although Benson-Pope, Field and Peters probably blotted their copybooks mor than Tizard after becoming Ministers.

But Tizards’s track record re achievement (or lack thereof) has to be the worst. Don’t accuse me of being a Labour stoolie bobux! I have no more time for Labour’s populist, bigoted, and unprincipled politics than I do for that of the Nats.

Just have a look at Mallard vacillalting on section 59 over at Red Alert until he saw which way the wind was blowing.

Somehow I don’t recollect you demanding his supporters ‘engage more with the substance of policy’. It was more like ‘toke up, and vote Green’.

In my view, voters are surprised and delighted to see an MP who isn’t so swollen with self-importance (Exhibit One – a certain J Tizard) that they can still take the piss out of themselves.
