“Of all places. Waimakariri for such an impt issue”
Waimakariri electorate takes in parts of Christchurch, including the venue (St Bedes College). Boscawen has held a meeting already in Auckland, so it makes sense that his 2nd (?) meeting would be in Christchurch.

Who was the moron who made Papanui part of Waimak? It is part of Christchurch, I tell you, of Christchurch! Nothing to do with Waimakariri District proper.
And it turned a blue seat into a marginally red seat.
Sorry, have some attachment to that district. My first vote was cast when it was still called Rangiora. Now my parents local MP lives in Blenheim, some 4 hours drive away…
On topic, however, I must say that Boscawen’s plan to delay the bill seems a good one. Key can’t be looking forward to that!

Do they still cane the spotty little sods at St. Bedes? Worse thing that ever happened doing away with caning and fags and all that I say!

With that lineup of speakers there is sure to be a balanced and evodence-based discussion. d4j turning up would be the icing on the cake.

I guess the debate will be between Baldock who wants to use wooden spoons and rulers, and Boscawen who doesn’t.

Johnboy dont be so sad. Did the St Bedes 1st 15 whip your old scool this year with the magnificent run to the final of secondary school rugby.
Vote:Sorry DPF for the off topic comment I will claim provocation.
At least these people are prepared to engage with the peasants that has got to be good.

St Bede’s isn’t in the Waimak. Hell, it isn’t even in fucking Belfast.

I’m sick of this smacking thing. Hope it dies in Waimak…, I really do.
The people hate the law, that’s clear. The pollies don’t give a shit, that’s clear.
Correct the kids in private is the only option till they start kicking the doors down looking for serial smackers…..I’m only half joking.

Aye Dazzaman – it’s going to grate with some people but ya can’t let the Marxist with less than 2000 votes and no mandate get away with introducing legislation that most of us don’t want. Got to keep chipping away, remember the walls of Jericho.
“I was never smacked as a kid, well maybe half a gram when I wouldn’t go to sleep.”

Unfortunately I have to more or less agree with Toad. Why do they have to put up David Garrett, Larry Baldock, and Bruce Logan? Surely there is no shortage of normal, reasonable people who will speak against the law.
