Labour’s attitude to National women is nothing new. Then Labour whip Jonathan Hunt had promised Ruth Richardson a pair so she could feed her new baby but his female colleagues wouldn’t co-operate.

They talk about empowering women but their actions show they only want progress for those who sing from their political song sheet.

I suggest the teachers union is pushing Liarbour hard to upset Ann Tolley as teachers are about to become accountable. A foreign concept in Liarbour land.

The Labour Party has politicised women being in politics – i.e. they must support the Labour Party. The same goes for gays – they probably have the same feeling towards Chris Finlayson – except Chris is too clever for them and can give as good and better back. Paula is going further and she is popularising “I am a Westie”. That is Labour’s heartland and Paula (good on her) is shoving it right back to the Labour Party. I do hope they are both getting good support from their collegues. Of course Judith Collins is in a similar position but the Labour Party dare not take her on despite Clayton Cosgrove’s efforts.
