Thanks to Bloggers Cameron Slater in particular, Carter has now got publicity on MSM. And a “I am not very impressed” remark from his Labour colleagues. I get a distinct feeling “rainbow” Labour is going to get pushed into the background as Labour starts moving out of denial and into making its-self electable. And Carter “its all because I’m gay” will find himself demoted. Labour’s problem is to demote him without “its because I’m gay” becoming a credible reason. No doubt National will rub that in mercessly when it happens. I feel job applications to various gay saunas happening sooner than I thought. Cannot think of anything else he could do.

To be fair JK has improved his photo persona since he became PM- the slightly embarrassed shy humble look works well in NZ but not overseas. He’s got a long way to go to match Obama’s toothy smile though- all I could see when they had the spouses and leaders photos was Barack’s and Michelle’s teeth and smiles.
