Happy Birthday Herald on Sunday

The Herald on Sunday is five years old today. Congratulations.
The Sunday papers are the only real competition we have in the newspaper market. I think that competition is good, because they work harder to break stories etc. You do get that a bit in the press gallery also between the Herald and Fairfax teams, but only in the political sphere.

Pfft- Most newspapers in NZ are just progressive propaganda sheets run by poseurs who haven’t the faintest clue about real journalism but are obsessed with shoving the fake cause of environmentalism down our throats, or writing one sided alarmist crap on global warming, or pushing whatever politically correct fad is uppermost in their minds at any given nanosecond, while corruption and cronyism grows like tomatoes in a hothouse and THEY SAY NOTHING except to support it. (Sharple’s misappropriation of funds for his bros at Maori TV for example)
I never buy newspapers and I hardly even bother with newspaper websites anymore. I know what the news they bring us is anyway. “Government is getting bigger, costing more, regulating you more, stealing from you more, and you will learn to like it because it is always necessary.”
They’re liars charlatans and partners in crime with a corrupt monolithic state, and the only time I’ll celebrate them is when they’re gone forever.

Remember to take your pills, Red otherwise you may take D4J’s crown as “most rabid commentator”.

I have to agree about the competition point. Its nice that the right whingers have some competition in the paper markets on Sunday. It’s a shame the Herald doesn’t have any competition during the week though *sigh.

Happy Birthday!
I always enjoy reading it as most of the stories they run are worth reading, in contrast to the moronry of the Sunday News or socialism of the Sunday Star-Times, and wish them all the best for another five years.

I’ve read it a couple of times. Not too bad, and I know it’s a Sunday paper, but can’t they make it more like the weekday Herald and less like, well… a Sunday paper?
By that, I mean it’s more sleazy and gossipy than the weekday paper, and I don’t really see any reason why it should be.
Maybe it’s gotten better since my last look; I don’t know.

Redbaiter, you’re obviously well informed and have a keen eye for corruption and conspiracy. I applaud you.
So the rest of us might be saved, could you be so kind as to list the sources of NZ news which you use and trust?
cheers
Malcolm

“otherwise you may take D4J’s crown as “most rabid commentator”.”
Well, if you ever demonstrated half the passion and courage and conviction of D4J, you would perhaps have something to be proud of rather than having to live with the shame that your posts (and your life no doubt) are so often an example of vapid pointless mediocrity.
“So the rest of us might be saved”
I have little interest in being anyone’s saviour Malcolm, especially when I don’t know who the”us” are you’re so often speaking for. Is it the other whitebait in your shoal?
One thing I know not to trust is any media owned by the state, and that is most NZ newspapers. Even if that ownership is not recorded on the share register, the government owns their worthless conniving souls, lock stock and barrel.

OK, that’s well understood; you make that point every other day. I’m just curious where you get your NZ news from?

Well done, Red. you are so nearly there as far as as beating Philu in the foolishness and arrogance stakes.
” having to live with the shame that your posts (and your life no doubt) are so often an example of vapid pointless mediocrity”
Where did that come from? Do you perhaps equate erudite writing with moral and intellectual superiority. Actually, I should not have written erudite because that would imply that somehow you have some wisdom to impart when all your previous post suggests is that you tend to be a verbal bully. Can’t you “beat” anyone else in life except on a blog?
I apologise if you took grave offense to my most dire and wounding post. Somehow I thought you had a bit more fibre. Mmmmm. Can’t think why I thought that now.
My only explanation for your ill tempered, ill timed and ill advised post is that you are menopausal and for that – I forgive you. Perhaps I could suggest Hormone Replacement Therapy in lieu of mocking and elitist posts on websites? Or perhaps some “time out” in a secure facility with no internet access?
I believe there is an advertisement for such a place on page 17 of the Herald on Sunday.

“I’m just curious where you get your NZ news from?”
Crusader Rabbit.

Funny thing is, I couldn’t care less where you get yours from.
Xchequer-
Yes, as I said- “vapid pointless mediocrity”

CRUSADER RABBIT: “Islam has two allies here in the West – the Left and political correctness. The fight is with all three.”
Bloggers:
KG: “The blood-crossed Knight, the Holy Warrior, hooded with iron, the seraph of the bleak edge, Gallops along the world’s ridge in moonlight…”
MK: 19 yr old female from WA
Just Another Richard: “Just another soul toiling in the fields.”
Roger W. Gardner: 72 yr old male from New England
Tiberius: “Profile Not Available”

Sorry for the slow reply.
So all your NZ news comes from one source? KG, aka “The blood-crossed Knight, the Holy Warrior, hooded with iron, the seraph of the bleak edge, Gallops along the world’s ridge in moonlight…”? On a blog whose byline is: “Islam has two allies here in the West – the Left and political correctness. The fight is with all three.”?
That can’t be right. KG doesn’t do news. They do commentary on MSM news and other blogs. That’s not news. That’s editorial/comment.
Don’t be shy Redbaiter. I’m very interested to know where you get your unbiased NZ news. It must come from somewhere, to enable you to see the endless corruption, conspiracy and lies of the MSM.
You can’t possibly get all your news from Crusader Rabbit. If you did, you’d be an absolute crack-pot.

Herald on Sunday is 5 today?
Happy Birthday, now you can go to school!

“You can’t possibly get all your news from Crusader Rabbit.”
That’s the problem with you commies. You always have to be told everything twice-
Read the second paragraph of my initial post.

Redbaiter, I’m asking where you get your unbiased NZ news. The second paragraph doesn’t answer that:
That tells me where you don’t get it from. Anyway, I think I understand what you’re saying. You don’t actually need a source of unbiased news/information. You know the truth intrinsically. Which is how you can tell us, with certainty, each day, that the media are liars and charlatans and partners in crime with a corrupt monolithic state. Unlike KG, aka “The galloping iron-hooded Holy Warrior Knight and Seraph”
That’s pretty cool. It must save you a lot of time. Always knowing the answer beforehand. You probably don’t even need to think. Very efficient.

Can you make whatever point you’re trying to make in around twenty words please. I can’t be bothered reading stuff that’s all about you you smug boring time wasting prick.
October 5th, 2009 at 12:21 am
OK Redbaiter, sorry to confuse you. Here goes:
You say absurd things without back-up. You bang the same dumb drum every day. You attack and abuse anyone who doesn’t agree. You acknowledge only your own paranoid views. You are a conspiracy theorist. You are deluded. You seem to be very angry. You are a blowhard. You talk about rising up. Against something.
You do all this anonymously. You’re also quite funny and I enjoy your comments.
Goodnight
Malcolm
