Sir Bob Jones did also predict a one-term Government in 2000. See below:

Obviously Bob Jones didn’t allow for the Labour party to win two more elections assisted by having unfettered access to tax payer funded advertising.

.And when they acted illegally, introduced retroactive legislation to legalise their criminal activity.
Rotten, corrupt Scumbags!

What a pity he wasn’t right. A decade of social engineering and socialism, God these people were the pits and still are. I now fear the Nats are making the same mistakes, or I hope they are mistakes because if it is deliberate and they are happy to embrace socialism then the future for our country and it’s children is indeed grim.

That about sums up you lot. “I was right” even when you; are, were, always will, be so obviously WRONG.

I’m a neutral politically, but you “Nat-righties” are a pathetically hypocritical lot. Your party of preference (ACT is just a subset of it) has a long and very dishonourable record of corruption, most of it in the past having been carefully concealed from public view with the connivance of tame print media who knew who their masters were – though at long last they seem to be waking from their slumbers. Hide is every bit as much a fake party leader as Anderton. Your bullshit detectors only work on one half of the political spectrum.
Jones is simply a third-rate commentator who would attract little attention in a larger society.

“Hide is every bit as much a fake party leader as Anderton.”
Wrong. Race based seats and smacking are but two obvious points of difference between Act and the Gnats. How many such differences between Labour and Anderton?
Oh, and all this Gnat corruption hidden from public view that you alone are privy to. If we do not know about it already perhaps you could do the rest of NZ a favour and expose it. You know you really want to and I would love to hear it.
Waiting, ………………….no, didn’t think so.

News Flash: Bob Jones has an opinion.

Sir Robert is no great sooth sayer. During the roaring eighties I remember Jones telling an investment seminar in Invercargill that farmers should get out of a dead profession and buy up property everywhere. Of course that was before our dollar was floated and Jones advocated borrowing overseas. Many stupid farmers followed Jones advice and were foreclosed by finance and stock and station agents once the dollar dived.
Vote:Jones has a huge because of his money. Much more than me !!! But he seems to think he should impose his views on others.
When Jones headed Robert Jones Investments he was the big winner while small investors took the heavy losses.
I am afraid Jones still appeals to the rambo types with his wild statements.
Stay in your Lower Hutt mansion Bob. Stick to boxing.

You might want to look up the word “neutral”.

Who knew National was right wing?

Jones would have been more correct if he predicted this particular future for the current incumbents, or is that incompetents?

Bob Jones is independently wealthy and will never vote based on his need for welfare – So I can understand why you hate him.

Another example of someone who cannot imagine that anyone could possibly have a different view to himself, and who therefore assumes that if he doesn’t like something, then the public don’t either.
He is not the only person who suffers from this illusion. It seems a lot of Act supporters have the same trouble, and constantly proclaim that the people are going to rise up in revolt against the socialist National Party Government and demand Roger Douglas be made finance minister. Any moment now. Any moment… wait for it…

s.russell your blog hits the correct spot about Bob Jones.
Vote:He has a huge ego and also a penchant for saying ridiculous things to get attention.Bob knows best !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
In my area s.russell we have some right wing farmers who are to the right of Genghis Khan when it comes to helping the more poorly off but when it comes to bolstering farmers incomes act like “bleeding Marxist-Socialists”.
Roger Douglas’s best days are over. We now know that humanity must be associated with restructuring not just barefaced ugly capitalism

Bob Jones has more than a passing interest in boxing. He has always been very dismissive of David Tua’s abilities. It’s not a good time for his prediction reputation to be in the public eye!

And what have we learned from this, children? I predict Bob Jones will be headlining the next series of Sensing Murder…

KiwiGreg and Radvad: That’s why I put “Nat-righties” in quotes, since lots of dim-bulbs, especially the type who drivel away on Espiner’s blog (for example), think National is a rightwing party {I seem to recall that Perigo generally referred to them as the “National Socialists”}. I could just as easily have a go at the demoralised rabble that Labour are now they’re in opposition, but there’s little need for it at present. Good to see that the ratbag Field has drawn a reasonable jail sentence though.
Re corruption – do your own homework. I could easily rattle off a list of surnames for starter hints, but if you think I’m going to give some litigious type an excuse to attack, think again.
Goodbye, it’s been fun.
