This fiasco with ‘the dipton dippa’ is yet another reason why NO govt should own media.
I am really getting concerned I am struggling to tell the Nats apart from old Liarbour. Although this might be a Baldrick plan to ensure MMP is gone for good?????????

The T shirt seems to have byline that is more fitting to a certain world traveling former minister.
Or, have we an outing in the wind??
Do we have more clandestine behavoir from Bill?

Must admit that I was somewhat surprised by that advert. I was mysky fast forwarding when first saw it and ‘rewound’ surprised to see a political ad in a non election year. Ironic that Labour never worried about various puff pieces they got of course.

First time I saw the ad I thought it was a little crazy. But then I thought about it – he’s not a “National Party person”, he’s the NZ Finance Minister, and as such it’s perfectly reasonable for him to be profiled significantly on the economy.

We must be one of the few countries in the world that have a permanent electioneering cycle. Most others have an election then a Government until near the next election – the Government is seen as the Government, not just a political party.

We seem to have this constant election mentality in NZ. MMP’s influence maybe?

TVNZ must want to hit the Minister of Finance for a big taxpayer subsidy, I cannot think of any other reason for this fascination with Bill English.
