Remember the Greens don’t do personal attacks Add this story to Scoopit!.

The Greens often go on about how they are a party of principle and policy and veer away from personal attacks, and smears. They seem to have forgotten to tell on of their senior office holders.

For some reason someone at The Standard posted a photo of MPs Bakshi Singh, Melissa Lee, Bill English and John Key – asking which one is not like the other.

Toad responded:

Nah, it is that the three on the left have substantive allegations of corruption against them personally. The allegations against the one on the right are “only” of covering up the allegations against the others.

A bit like a line-up of Brad Shipton, Bob Schollum, Clint Rickards, and John Dewar.

Well done Toad, you score bottom of the barrel this week.

  2. kiwirights (48) Says:

yawn yawn, David, are you blaming all the Greens for one post?? Get over it.

[DPF: No, but they harp on about how they don't this stuff, and Toad is not just a blogger or commenter, but a senior office holder (by his own admission]

  3. MikeNZ (3,234) Says:

Is David quoting from a mouthpiece?

  4. reid (9,988) Says:

Yes, there’s a similar vein of illusory self-righteousness flowing through Lew’s comment on Kiwipolitico about how lefties are pure as driven snow on this issue…

    e.g.

I should imagine that many of those who engaged in these sorts of attacks on Clark and her government but who are wide-eyed with mock outrage now that the shoe is on the other foot believe (to themselves if not in public) that the former comparisons were rooted in reality, while these latter are not and so are not justified.

Lew obviously wasn’t in the country when Hulun was making comments like: “cancerous and corrosive,” “wreckers and haters” blah blah blah blah blah.

Oh but she was “the best PM NZ has ever ever had… blah blah blah blah blah.”

Important to remember, it’s not a Green thing, it’s a lefty thing. Propaganda wizards that they are. It’s the only real skill they have.

  5. Johnboy (6,624) Says:

It merely demonstrates the utter despair felt by the lefties when a ‘Senior Office Holder’ (wank wank) has to resort to this type of pathetic attack on our team. Still it must be tough for them to see all their dreams for at least the next three terms go down the gurgler. I almost feel pity for the Toadies of this world—–nah not really— go to hell socialists —–you are all losers :)

Absolutely agree phil. That doesn’t sound like Hulun at all, not in any way, no sir-ree.

Perhaps we should have, out of respect, referred to Hulun as “a long scarf,” lest we lend the wee gentle lass a touch of disrespect. I think she might’ve quite liked that.

  12. Patrick Starr (3,662) Says:

I’m not being rude, I just find this “You did it too” excuse so pathetic, same as the greens rental taxpayer ripoff – their entire defence was “look at Bill”,
the difference that zooms over phools, and other Green heads is that we don’t claim to be holier than thou

  13. Will de Cleene (451) Says:

I’ve been holding off on commenting on this whole thing, but the holier than thou line is wearing thin. Clint Heine’s Photoshop of Helen Clark with male genitals was the grossest, most personal, hateful and despicable attack line I have seen, in or out of the blogosphere. I don’t recall you getting so uppity about that, DPF.

[DPF: I agree it was gross and it is not something I condone. However Clint is not a senior office holder in a political party. In the wider blogosphere there will always be gross, hateful and stupid things said or done. But that doesn't mean that MPs and very senior office holders in parties should lower themselves to that standard. With office, comes responsibility]

    singh was investigated..(and cleared..)

lee has been pinged for having/keeping govt money that she shouldn’t have..and has agreed to pay it back..

english has already paid some back..

and he..and we ..are waiting on that auditor-generals’ report..eh..?

and he..and all m.p.s are terrified that the pissed-off punters..

..might demand what the british have just had..

    namely..a five-year audit of all mp’s expense-claims..

and yep..!,.heaps of mp’s..from all british political parties..

phil, I would imagine Key is extra-ordinarily relaxed about any inquiry into MP expense claims.

Why would you imagine that someone with $50+ million honestly made, would want to screw an extra few thousand from the system?

Especially when that someone is the PM who has proven himself to be acutely conscious of most factors which that position of responsibility entails and with respect to those areas in which he hasn’t, his behaviour can be put down to political inexperience?

I think its time you lefties woke up to the fact we are not dealing with a Hulun here, in that, Key’s integrity is not in question, not amongst those of us with no axe to grind. Your 6:31 comment preaches only to the lefty converted phil. That’s a bit of a waste of your time on this blog, I would have thought. Why don’t you tell us something that isn’t a lefty cliche?

  40. Jack5 (2,486) Says:

Dear Philu the Phooll stop Pharaoh:

As a Green you should realise you are wasting electricity, bandwidth, and computer screens with your profligate use of phull stops. Every time you use three instead of one, and cram scores of these phool points into each post you waste bits and create wear and tear on the machines of thousands of Kiwiblog readers and posters. Your phool stops are clogging our copper lines and our phibre optic lines too.

Given some of our power comes from thermal generation, and given that even hydro, wind, and thermal power requires larges amounts of carbon emission in creating the massive equipment, you are being hypocritical to your Green principles in spattering our screens with Phool Stops. You increase the power used in exchanges, in running modems, and wear out our various types of screens, increasing the flow of sometimes toxic electronic waste.

To be consistent Philu you should either reject Green madness and global warming hysteria OR Stop philling our screens with your phucking phool stops.

…. quite ironic considering he now possibly enhances his welfare with his transactions of the same

  42. Rufus (371) Says:

Wil 6:20 pm – re: Clint Heine

    Difference, Will, is this:

Clint is a private party, with a blog doing his own thing. I doubt he’s ever claimed to be pure as the driven snow. So he’s being reasonably consistent.

Toad, by his own admission, is some sort of Green Party office holder. Now they do claim to be above all this muck raking. Turns out he isn’t.

    Spot the inconsistency?

    Spot the difference?

  43. Rufus (371) Says:

Starboard 10:25 says it all really.

Phil, you rip the taxpayer off the equivalent of a Phil Heatley every 2 or 2 1/2 years? And one wonders how long this has been going on, and for how long you will continue to rip us off.

Is there actually a plan for when your kid goes to school? After school? Do you ever plan to get a job in the future?

It’d be nice to think you were, but I guess not.

  44. Clint Heine (1,320) Says:

I put it down from the blog as some people were not too kind to me about it… of course instead of telling me to my face or through the medium of email/facebook the cowards all ran off to Pubic Address and bitched about it there, saying far more nasty things about me. Chickenshits the lot of them, from the left and the right.

Rufus is of course correct. I am a private party and allowed to put anything I like on my blog. It’s up to the individual to decide if it is offensive or not. I personally think this is nothing compared to the hate and violent bejaviour I have seen firsthand from the left.
