It says it all when John Angus , the Childrens Commisioner advised people to stay away from a March for Democracy.It says it all when Christine Rankin was told to shut up by PM John Key because her views on the smacking debate were contrary to those of her role as Family Commissioner & the Government..It says it all when 87% of public opinion voted against the smacking law , yet an overwhelming majority of NZ Herald columnists & editorial staff held views very opposite to mainstream public opinion & amassed those views in print daily…It says it all when John Key says “the anti smacking law is a dogs breakfast” on radio , then doesn’t do anything to change the law…Who’s ruling the country , the United Nations??
John Key is swayed hugely by minority vocalists he’s now let the separatist Maori Party have their way with flying the Maori Sovereignty flag on all state buildings as well as the Harbour Bridge from next year. Apartheid is alive & well in NZ & being promoted, aided & abetted by John Key. Not only that but Maori are going to be handed over control of their own health, education & welfare from the public purse. Agreements have already being nutted out & with regard to the Tuhoe tribe [Tama Iti & Co] in the Ureweras , one of the few tribes not to sign the Treaty , vast tracts of lands have already been set aside for their own separate development. Apartheid!!!. This is not good for Maori & not good for NZ!
The reason we don’t have democracy in NZ is because media & government positions have been hijacked by leftists who don’t give a damn that their views are in the minority.Debate is being shut down!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NZ is on a roller coaster ride ,all the way down with the dictatorship that rules.

Anyway enjoyed reading the justifications, made my day but one thing stood out, as normal RB comment “So you’re a fully fledged traitor to Western Democracy?” because someone opposed the Iraq war (biggest US foreign policy mistake, entered on false allegations and a breach of international law) and the Vietnam war (much more complicated). The traitors are those who undermine western ideals of law, peaceful resolution, transparency (Cheney, Rumsfield) not those who saw through their barefaced deceit and opposed it upholding the very thing the west represents.

Even more – do you remember how angsty they got when a private group decided to criticise them? The Labour / Green coalition went into flat out attack mode against a minority religious group. I heard the Auckland march was a mixture of agenda’s, whereas the church marches were focused on a common purpose.

As well as a busy time of year, at one of the busiest times of the weekend, the biggest problem with the march was a lack of focus. It worked keeping the referendum vague, but wishwashy was not a good way to attract walkers.
