Sorry Mr. Brown, have to disagree, and I do that because I know damn well there has been a cowardly and underhand campaign (orchestrated by the left) to denigrate and discredit the march and the marchers. You know that too.
[quote above]

TRUE!!! And the campaign against democracy is fronted by the Media. The media in all its forms radio, newspaper & TV are overwhelmingly liberal & leftist in their views. Minority vocalists with an agenda. Their agenda is to discredit , condemn, distort & falsify anything they don't agree with. Leftists like Russell Brown [Public Address, Radio Live] Willie Jackson [Radio Live] , Brian Rudman , Tapu Misa , John Roughan[NZ Herald] . Majority opinion is being shut down , told to go away , ridiculed.
It says it all when John Angus , the Childrens Commisioner advised people to stay away from a March for Democracy. It says it all when Christine Rankin was told to shut up by PM John Key because her views on the smacking debate were contrary to those of her role as Family Commissioner & the Government..It says it all when 87% of public opinion voted against the smacking law , yet an overwhelming majority of NZ Herald columnists & editorial staff held views very opposite to mainstream public opinion & amassed those views in print daily...It says it all when John Key says "the anti smacking law is a dogs breakfast" on radio , then doesn't do anything to change the law...Who's ruling the country , the United Nations??
John Key is swayed hugely by minority vocalists he's now let the separatist Maori Party have their way with flying the Maori Sovereignty flag on all state buildings as well as the Harbour Bridge from next year. Apartheid is alive & well in NZ & being promoted, aided & abetted by John Key. Not only that but Maori are going to be handed over control of their own health, education & welfare from the public purse. Agreements have already being nutted out & with regard to the Tuhoe tribe [Tama Iti & Co] in the Ureweras , one of the few tribes not to sign the Treaty , vast tracts of lands have already been set aside for their own separate development. Apartheid!!!. This is not good for Maori & not good for NZ!
The reason we don't have democracy in NZ is because media & government positions have been hijacked by leftists who don't give a damn that their views are in the minority.Debate is being shut down!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NZ is on a roller coaster ride ,all the way down with the dictatorship that rules.

God I got to laugh at this, what a splendid outcome.

Anyway enjoyed reading the justifications, made my day but one thing stood out, as normal RB comment "So you’re a fully fledged traitor to Western Democracy?" because someone opposed the Iraq war (biggest US foreign policy mistake, entered on false allegations and a breach of international law) and the Vietnam war (much more complicated). The traitors are those who undermine western ideals of law, peaceful resolution, transparency (Cheney, Rumsfield) not those who saw through their barefaced deceit and opposed it upholding the very thing the west represents.

With the AGW fraud exposed it looks like the socialist losers won't get a second crack of the whip after all.

Socialism died with the collapse of the USSR, which is nice.

nickb:
Isn’t it an indictment that the left bores on this site are more outraged on a private citizen spending $500,000 of his own money to support democratic protest, than they are of the government stealing $800,000 to fund its own election campaign.

It is. But then, do you remember how vocal they were when the socialist Labour / Green government stole that money? Even more - do you remember how angsty they got when a private group decided to criticise them? The Labour / Green coalition went into flat out attack mode against a minority religious group. Do you recall the scarf-wearer comment? They generally don't seem to care for democracy or the rights of people.

I heard the Auckland march was a mixture of agenda’s, whereas the church marches were focused on a common purpose.

As well as a busy time of year, at one of the busiest times of the weekend, the biggest problem with the march was a lack of focus. It worked keeping the referendum vague, but wishwashy was not a good way to attract walkers.

Interesting to see in Lucs figures above that the so called Destiny Church March pulled 10,000. I was also on the Bike Hikio to Wellington and Phil Goff stated that it was the biggest turnout since the Destiny March.
Love em or hate em you have to give those church people something, they can pull a crowd when required.
Also to call it the Destiny March is totally misleading as they simply don't have 10,000 people in their church. It was in reality a combined Christian march pulled together by strong leadership. Something that is missing in Politics today. Far too much wishy washy stuff going with the general consensus instead of what is best for the country.

It's already proven incorrect by the Herald's own archives.

However, I do accept you used the quote in good faith, and you did not lie, so I humbly apologise for any offense.

"You should apologise for disseminating false information."

You should first make it clear whether you think it came from the reporter or Craig.

After that, you have to prove it as incorrect.

Next you should do is apologise for claiming it as a lie when it is at worst subjective opinion.

..and you should apologise for alleging I said it when it was clear to anyone with a brain I was quoting from the Herald.

You lose every which way.

The way I read it is that that was a quote from the guy who funded the march, putting on a brave face as disaster befell him.

The idiot reporter should have done his/her own research on the Herald site before putting that in.

and re these march numbers..

when the head of that march reached the town hall..

the smackers-march..

which you claim 5.000..(and i claim 2,000 maximum/tops..and that is being very generous..)

streched from swanson st..to victoria st..

one short block..!

(and had paid clowns..etc..)

mmm..???
