- Fiscally Conservative Kiwi at Gotcha fisks The Standard for their response to my linking the rise in youth unemployment to the abolishment of youth rates.
- Chris Hipkins discovers www.data.govt.nz. I agree it is an excellent resource – Nathan Guy launched it around a week ago. I am already a frequent user.
- Rob Salmond and Lord Monckton exchange climate change barbs.
- Carmel Sepuloni blogs at Red Alert over the cutting of funding to the Manukau Family Literacy Programme. I think this is a much more worthwhile cause to champion that ACE type silk scarf dying courses.
- Paul at the Fundy Post lambasts Auckland University Arts Faculty for taking no action over the plagiarism of Professor Witi Ihimaera. Paul says their actions make him ashamed to be a member of the University – he is a PhD candidate.
- Rochelle Rees at The Standard has a very good post on the Foreshroe and Seabed Act.
- Crusader Rabbit points out that there were around eight times as many anti-Jewish incidents recorded by the FBI in 2007, as there were anti-Islamic incidents – 969 to 115.

I don’t know David, I quite like silk scarf dying but even I know how to do that, why they have a course in it?

I found the claim by Chris Hipkins to have ‘discovered’ http://www.data.govt.nz quite disingenous.

@Rob Salmond and Lord Monckton exchange climate change barbs.
OMG, Robbo and Lynnie and the cohort of felchers really are freaking inbred jobsworth weasels with zero credibility and very poor social skills. Helens legacy.

Seems like being outed is punishment enough for Ihimaera. Silly bugger, what was he thinking of? Still a brilliant writer though.

>Rob Salmond and Lord Monckton exchange climate change barbs.
To summarise: Salmond gets slapped around so thoroughly that, if he had any dignity, he would change his name by deed poll and go and live in a cave. While the Standard “staff” as are nasty and bullying as normal.

Why do we need data.govt.nz when stats.govt.nz could hold this information in one place?
November 12th, 2009 at 3:45 pm
Michael – Stats.govt.nz is for their data, not all of Govt data. And I prefer not to mix them up – data.govt.nz hodls no data itself – it is a directory telling you where to find it.

Sounds like a fair compromise to the utter waffle getting trotted out about Gov2.0/SocialNetworking in Gov by the usual leaching suspects.

Lord Monckton, making the honest mistake of assuming that reason will get him anywhere on the Standard.
Moncky, the commenters at the Standard are mostly a collection of intolerant propagandising communist scum and bogged down in a language and mindset that is two decades out of date. (at least).
Forget them. They’re more irrelevant every day.

Thanks for the link David. Got to admit I feel a little worried with both you and Mathew Hooten praising my post!

Rochelle – we only do it to make you doubt yourself

He he he, Salmond is still trying to work out what hit him.

Circled wagons, dissent eradicated, ad hominem attacks, blah blah. Commies.
