Investigators say the Facebook message may have been inspired by a South Park TV episode that satirised racial prejudice by portraying a campaign against red-haired, fair-skinned “ginger” people.

In our house we have to be very careful about contact with the Ginger kid – avoiding Gingervitis is a daily chore – we never kick her (can’t since Sue Bradford mucked around with the law) nut we do make sure that she resides mainly in her room and away from the family. it is strange but she has many friends and we encourage her to spend as much time as possible with her friends (who seem to have no fear of Gingervitis).

For the most part she is well integrated into school and society (as much as a ginger kid could be) and she refuses to let this disability stop her from being a normal kid. Her brother and sister seem to cope well with having a ginga sister, and know not to annoy her too much (or kick her) for fear of the 10 on the richter scale explosion.

I was talking to a ginger the other day and he said “isn’t it funny how people talk about ginger in a nice way even commenting on stories like this one, but it is really another way of taking the piss out of us”.

I didn’t understand it but just reading this post I was thinking about when do we do this for blacks, gays etc in the same way?
We don’t , we condemn those reports but not gingers.
