Bad Taste Quote Add this story to Scoopit!.

The SMH reports:

“God bless Tiger,” Yahoo chief executive Carol Bartz told a conference this week, adding that all of the main Yahoo news sections got a “huge uplift” from the story.

“It is better than Michael Jackson dying; it is kind of hard to put an ad next to a funeral.”

Now that is an unfortunate quote.

    This took place at UBS Investment Bank’s annual Global Media and Communications Conference; I submit that it is an entirely apposite place for a business manager to discuss their business model. The death of Michael Jackson would have been bad for advertising; Cheetah Woods’ story is a far better one for product placement. It doesn’t offend me.
    For the record, I have not had sex with Mr Woods.
