PMs portraits Add this story to Scoopit!.

Am on the waterfront and I noticed at Shed 11, the NZ Portrait Gallery, the current exhibition is of New Zealand Prime Ministers.

A few of the photos are borrowed from Parliament, but many new ones also.

If you are interested in NZ political history, I recommend you pop in. Only open for another week.

Is it true that John Key’s portrait was painted by Basil Hallward and is aging as we speak?

Is it true that Helen Clark’s portrait was “improved” in Photoshop?

I trust the classic “Helen Clark She’s Toast” by the Avonhead Scout Group takes pride of place.

I was disappointed by the exhibition – it is mainly taken from the Parliamentary collection.

There are lots of other items out there that could have been included – especially some of the kitsch stuff like the Muldoon pillows.
