Stats website

403 – Forbidden: Access is denied.
You do not have permission to view this directory or page using the credentials that you supplied.
Very annoying.

On the few occasions I’ve looked at stats.govt.nz, I’ve always found it a bit inconvenient to use.. Maybe we need a data.govt.nz, like data.gov and data.gov.uk.
Imagine if all the NZ Stats data was available on the web in a convenient machine-readable format?

Directory browsing or using links within the site?
More then likely the former.
The site will only want you accessing pages via the links in the site.
