A senior Iranian cleric says women who wear revealing clothing and behave promiscuously are to blame for earthquakes.
Wow something else to blame Britney Spears for.
“Many women who do not dress modestly … lead young men astray, corrupt their chastity and spread adultery in society, which (consequently) increases earthquakes,” Hojatoleslam Kazem Sedighi was quoted as saying by Iranian media.
“What can we do to avoid being buried under the rubble?” Sedighi asked during a prayer sermon on Friday.
“There is no other solution but to take refuge in religion and to adapt our lives to Islam’s moral codes.”
To spare Hong Kong from destruction, we need to hope Cactus Kate converts to Islam.

While that may be true in the Waikato and points North I can assure you the surfeit of nymph-like young goddesses in Godzone more than makes up for your lot.
Given that NZ is situated on fault lines I do however think NZ authorities should take this theory seriously, at least to the point of an experiment.
For experiminatal purposes only (of course) NZ should ban the wearing by females between 16 and 30 incl. and under 9 stone of all underclothing and all unnecessary outer clothing, particularly in and around Christchurch or anywhere near the vicinity at any time of BST cab 276. for the next 20 years.

Of course, the Islamic standard for ‘dressing modestly’ is for women to be covered head to foot in black garb.
Maybe that’s why such a high proportion of women in Western nations are raped by male Islamic immigrants (or their sons born in the West). It’s really our (Westerners) fault for not more fully embracing Islamic dress codes for our womenfolk.
