Australia Vote-a-Matic

The Age has a 13 part quiz on policies to help you decide which Australian Party you most agree with.
I got 50% Liberals, 50 Labor and 0% Greens.
The reason I did not score more with the Libs, is because of stupid policies such as an extra tax on large businesses.
In some areas such as immigration, the parties now have near identical policies it seems.

Meanwhile in New Zealand, Gerry Brownlee has been found to have told porkies in Parliament, and the wage gap between NZ and Australia continues to widen. Key confirms that he has no answers to reverse the trend and Don Brash says we should give up on trying to reverse it.

No surprises there, DPF. I know you’re a liberal progressive
84% Liberal, 16% Labour, 0% Green for me.

Lab 25, Lib 44, Green 31 for me. It’s interesting to see the “code words” in the policies that make it pretty easy to guess which party they are from, For example the Environmental Policy one party has “Deploy Job seekers to work in environmental remediation” which I assume is the Liberals getting the “lazy bludgers” out in the bush to do “an honest days work”.
All parties seem keen on rebates, tax incentives, targeted taxes and the like. I assume the Australian Tax Accountants have a generous lobby that gives money to all parties.

81.3 liberal, 18.7 labour, 0 greens.
keep electricty cheap at all costs, got to have that aircon cranking.
meanwhile in nz its not a problem because of our moderate climate and amazingly well insulated houses…
July 29th, 2010 at 8:14 am
12.5 Labour, 68.8 Liberal, 18.8 Green.
Must admit, half the time I wasn’t sure what language they were speaking they didn’t follow any grammatical rules I know of punctuation must in be short supply over there everything was a statement with no reference and the all of the climate change questions were in effect a tick for Green party policies …
…
oh god, breathe, gibbon … breathe
Australian’s a stressful language. And they seem to be fairly well rooted for choice. Who are the Libs and why is there a big-eared guy telling me we have to get rid of boats?
Key confirms that he has no answers to reverse the trend and Don Brash says we should give up on trying to reverse it.
the wage gap, the porkies, or both?

I tried but gave up, too much nauseating electioneering palaver, and no idea what the people are like behind the candyfloss.
