Wikileaks

July 27th, 2010 at 4:37 pm by David Farrar

Isn’t it great that NATO reports are placed on Wikileaks now, so the NZ Minister of Defence can get fuller details of what NZ Forces in Afghanistan have been doing.

Maybe we should dispense with formal reports, and just have the Ministy of Defence supply an RSS feed to the Minister :-)

More transparency on how wars are fought – that might change a few approaches.

Next thing – more transparency about how decisions are made to start wars?

Yes… it would save embarrassment and the cost of formal reports.

I’m sure National has been looking at RSS feeds to gauge public opinion to base their resent decisions on.

You think the muslims are going to tell us why the keep starting them ? Too late to ask Saddam, can’t find Bin Laden, you can volunteer to interview the Taleban if you want.

It’s all probably an Israeli Mossad technical operation to punish the EU for the Goldstone report. :-)
By showing their forces doing exactly the same against civilians in a war zone using the same tactics the Americans used in Iraq they take away the so called moral high ground of the attempt to delegitimatize normal soldiering in war.

War is war, people get killed no matter how hard you might try to avoid that.
Only thing was the UK and US didn’t phone ahead to individual residents to say they were coming and clear out or used thunderflashes to clear roofs of civilians used as screens.
