The female stewardess (yes I said stewardess) reminds me of how bad the kiwi accent can be, although it’s not as bad as the Puraz informerical lady (or ‘Pyoo-waz’ as she would pronounce it).
Almost enough to want to try flying AirNZ again. Maybe next trip – they are the only ones who fly Wellington – Coolangatta, negating the need to go to Brisbane.
I saw this on Thursday, and I was thinking before take off that the body paint video was getting old, and wondered when they might replace it, when this came on. Given the freshness, and timing, I thought it was hilarious and most of the cabin were chuckling. Good effort from a top class airline.
Saw it again Friday night and maybe everyone was tired, or tired of it, because it didn’t get the same reaction. It was good, but I don’t think it will last more than a few months before I’ll be trying to find the emergency oxygen.
Hopefully, over time they’ll have a rotation of these things, which may help keep things fresh. It’s a bit limiting to have to go over the safety tips though, so maybe they could reduce that to “read the card after this totally unrelated 5 minute sketch that will have you in stitches”.
