    Yeah I heard that one recently, I like LBJ as he was super coarse what with lifting his dogs by the ears, his hunting, having buzzer in Oval Office lest Ladybird caught him in a tryst, conducting meetings while sitting on the toilet and to top it off growing his hair real long and sitting on his ranch door steps like a hippie after he had left office…

    Classic, LBJ’s foul mouthed comments are legendary. Robert Caro’s multi volume biography on him are meant to be some of the best political books ever.

    It’s one of the depressing things that occurs each academic year … we get told what our incoming university students know. If studentsentering in 2010 know anything at all about LBJ, its that he was some old white dude who was already dead twenty years before they were born :-/

    Nothing about payment. I assume LBJ’s staff took care of that or did LBJ expect to get them for free??

    LBJ remains, of course, the only sitting US President to have visited these fair islands.

    I wonder if Aunty Helen in her misspent youth was one of those who greeted him with chants such as

    Hey hey hey LBJ,
    how many kids did you kill today
