A Democrat attack ad

October 28th, 2010 at 3:00 pm by David Farrar

This ad is attacking Bill Brady, the Republican candidate for Governor of Illinois. Brady is leading in the polls and 538 give him a 77% chance of winning it – quite remarkable considering the state.

Check out the latest numbers from Gallup…

Compare the 1994 numbers with 2010 and consider the huge gains the Republicans made with a very modest lead in the polls then.

    Wow.

Seriously their target market is 12 year olds in special ed? If they asked me to vote for them witht hat message it would piss me off that they assumed I was such a moron or that they thought I’d be inpressed with the flshing lights and pretty colours.

Have just been in California and Nevada and was amazed at the tone and content of the ads. Makes us look like wusses.

Quite an upbeat attack ad. Won’t get people sneering at it like the ones which try to come across as revealing facts of EXTREME IMPORTANCE WHICH ARE WHY THIS CANDIDATE DEFINITELY SHOULDN’T BE ELECTED LET ALONE BE ALLOWED NEAR YOU OR YOUR LOVED ONES.

If Labour were going to have another go at Key that’d be the way to do it. Still probably wouldn’t work though, but a hell of a lot better than that other crap they pulled.

Will anyone stay watching more than ten seconds or maybe, possibly fifteen seconds?

It’s worse than listening to Wayne Mapp.

Actually, given incumbent governor Quinn’s abysmal approval ratings, the fact that Brady isn’t far ahead is testament to his weakness as a candidate. He won a crowded Republican primary with only 20.3% of the vote and 193 votes ahead of his nearest competitor, who would almost certainly be way ahead of Quinn now.

I wouldn’t mind the attack ads so much if the Dems weren’t cheating.

Here’s another great ad from RightChange showing Obama playing golf as the Titanic goes down (having hit the iceberg “recession”).
