Another great attack ad

Call Me Senator from RightChange on Vimeo.
Barbara Boxer became infamous for insisting a General call her Senator not Ma’am. This ad plays it up wonderfully.

It’s an excellent ad but one fears for the home of the brave if this is how their politics is won or lost.
And I think we all know, this is in fact precisely how it is.
I think ours are bad enough.
I have never watched any opening address and all of them over here anyway are The-Hills-Are-Alive nauseating crap. Those poor bastards however to endure emotive nonsense masquerading as a political ad.

Reid – there are many reasons to vote against Barbara Boxer. This is just one. The purpose of the ad is to make her a less like-able person as a result of something she said. Ultimately, elections are popularity contests, and getting rid of a politician who thinks too much of herself is a good enough reason for many people.
The advert does touch on an important financial issue on the stimulus by contrasting Boxer’s vanity with that of her eagerness to put America further into debt.
Unfortunately, highlighting esoteric issues of sectional interests isn’t going to change an election result, but maybe making Boxer look like an out of touch Duchess who is a lightweight on fiscal issues is helpful to removing a left-liberal senator and replacing her with a professional female Republican like Fiorina.

A bit overacted if you ask me, and a little stupid. But it makes it’s point, and probably resonates with the lowest common denominator – that’s always the problem with mass media.

I wonder why DPF doesn’t post a Christine O’Donnell skit?
Oh, of course, wrong ideology!
Barbara Boxer, of course, is up against Carly Fiorina who made corporate history by sacking 30,000 workers and initiating a disastrous merger.
And DPF wants her in the house?
[DPF: Luc - don't be an idiot. I have dozens of times posted humourous items lampooning people on the right. You really should stop projecting your own inadequacies.
I've blogged previously how O'Donnell has criticised masturbation.
But you are right that I do back Carly Fiorina over Barbara Boxer. And the fact that she is so close in one of the heaviest Democratic states suggest many others do also]

@ Luc – DPF is usually quite happy to post amusing clips that poke fun at all sides of the spectrum. It’s why people like his blog, and probably why they don’t visit yours.

Loved it! I didn’t work hard at all, so call me shithead – everyone else does.

Helen Kelly “worked so” hard … to be a supreme bitch with no friends …

Luc “worked so hard” to be sub-human, but missed that bus. Now he’s “working so hard” to lick the steps of Parliament where Goff may have “worked so hard” to step upon.

We could have fun for hours, but I have a right wing meeting to get to, just a pedestrian leftie burning, you all have your invites, I “worked so hard” getting them out. I “worked so hard” to find James Sleep, he is first on the fire. Nominate any leftie you think has “worked so hard” to be the second on the fire.

Your pushing your luck now, DPF.
Watch out or I’ll get D4J on your case!

Piss off union apologist.
Vote:October 25th, 2010 at 12:33 am
Haha, RP
The funny thing is, I have only ever been a member of a union when it was compulsory, a long time ago! Do you remember those days?
Most of my working life I have been a senior manager and/or owner.
And I have never had a problem with unions because it cost very little (no pun intended) to comply with their requests and the reward was a happy workplace.
Like DPF, you wear your ideology on your T-shirt!
Vote:October 25th, 2010 at 12:41 am
I don’t wear tee-shirts. I do make a lot of money and hate unions. So there, its on my sleeve as if that’s a bad thing.
