Smoke would indicate fire, so bring on the Wikileaks – and watch DL make an absolute fool of herself (and about time too). She can dish it out but she sure can’t take it . . . . .
Now if the MSM were to be as ‘vigilant’ about DL as they are about John Key it could be ‘interesting’ to read what they ‘uncover’ but as they always look after their own . . .
Just saw the Doctor Who X-mas Special through “Alternative Methods”
Great episode, however pissed off that America and Australia get it 12-24 hours after it’s aired and NZ TV will have to wait up to 6 months for it!
Personally, I fully endorse Helen Clark’s position on America and the wiki-leaks saga. America has proven time and time again that its foreign policy outlook is based solely on self-interest, and self-gain. There is an ocean of examples to support this (and as able-bodied and politically-active citizens I’m sure you’re all aware of them – more or less) observation.
The US government has learnt a valuable lesson from this saga – the world no longer revolves around their self-interest. We have already pledged loyalty to China and its ‘slum dog trillionaires’.
I was a bit upset that the Herald yet again gave platform to the wierd utterances of out unlamented ex-Prime Minister but have to admit what was printed just makes her look so petty.
As an aside does anyone else finds it a bit strange that she is on holiday in NZ. Maybe having to pay for herself makes Ms Clark a bit more frugal??

DRHILL – me too! I watched it last night. Great take on Dickens ey?
I agree about the timing. We got reruns of 5 episodes of Dr Who yesterday on Prime, but we’ll probably end up getting this latest Christmas special some time in July…. lol
Christmas episodes should be seen at Christmas (and I don’t mean waiting until next year).
I see that Stuff has swallowed uncritically more, well, ‘stuff’ from Save Animals from Exploitation.
Read down into the story, supplied by Safe, and we find that the animal cruelty, if it happened, is historical, and is hearsay.
MAF confirms that four complaints had been made, and here’s the interesting point: no laws were broken and breaches of the animal welfare code were found.
Some pigs apparently had stood knee-deep in muck, either their own, others’, or just general. Has anyone never seen a pig standing in muck. Has anyone never seen a pig rolling in it.
Has no-one never thought that pigs might think differently about ‘muck’ from what humans do?
The Dominion Post the other day suggested that US diplomats in Wellington should get out more. Quite right. Perhaps its reporters should do, too. Go out to farms. Then they might discover that – lo! – pigs are pigs, and not sort-of humans.
Manolo 9.51……..’”T.he indefatigable Lindsay Mitchell makes it to today’s Herald:”
She invariably makes sound logical commonsense and expresses it well. The Herald might start to restore its’ declining appeal if they made her a regular columnist. The Government would be acting more in tune with those who elected them if they took her advice, instead of motivating the production of more meal ticket children as soon as the eldest such child in a unit turns five.

Why don’t you two go out and buy a television outfit, buy the rights and do exactly that?
Some pigs apparently had stood knee-deep in muck, either their own, others’, or just general.
And not just that, the pigs were kept naked! And they weren’t allowed to have lawyers, or even to argue in their own defence.
With so much real cruelty towards animals committed by psychopaths (i.e. the seals, dog’s ears, bird sanctuary in Temuka, nails through cat’s head, etc. [list would go on forever]) I wish they’d concentrate on this, rather than the relatively humane conditions on NZ farms.
CHFR @ 10.55… “Maybe having to pay for herself makes Ms Clark a bit more frugal ??” Hilarious. She has only cost us about $75,000 in the last couple of years for her travel. We will NEVER stop paying for this woman.
Manolo, looks like a load of bollocks to me too. I would have thought that even those who are not Christian are attracted by a tree covered with lights and shiny baubles. Most don’t display any overtly Christian symbols either.
Researchers at Simon Fraser University in Canada, found non-Christians feel less self-assured and have fewer positive feelings if a Christmas tree was in the room.
The scientists conducted the study using 77 Christians and 57 non-believers, including Buddhists and Sikhs.
Good spotting Manalo. I wonder what they’d find if they tested Christians and Hindus against say Muslims, re: The Haj? Honestly it’s like Keystone Cops isn’t it, some of this Tavistock stuff.
The Left thinks that if its members can chip away at the fabric of our society long enough, they can replace our values with those of their own making — belief in the state and the collective, rather than in the individual. It’s no stretch whatsoever to see that the battle over Christmas is but a small part of a battle over what this nation, what our families, what our society, and what our belief system as a whole is.
Naaah – it’s just the oppressed indigenous peoples exercising their suppressed cultural inclinations and resisting the white colonialist invader – the ‘tirity says they can . . .

Helen Clark’s really been stung by the Wikileaks.
A denial of the Fonterra story was understandable.
But to complain that the US were bullies over the Michael Moore fuss? It would have been wiser to keep silent over something rather trivial.
And now she’s claiming that the wikileaks cables have damaged the image of the US in NZ? Methinks the woman does protest too much.

A quote from an article on David Horowitz’s blog-
The Left thinks that if its members can chip away at the fabric of our society long enough, they can replace our values with those of their own making — belief in the state and the collective, rather than in the individual. It’s no stretch whatsoever to see that the battle over Christmas is but a small part of a battle over what this nation, what our families, what our society, and what our belief system as a whole is.
