Politics of hate

These posters have gone up in parts of the North Shore. How charming. One can only guess at the politics of the “people not profit collective”

I haven’t been over to Whale for over a year. Having rated comments is slightly annoying, kinda tips the balance of the argument somewhat.

No one, should EVER have endure serious threats of violence made against them for just executing their elected duties. No matter what their politics are. And for such a…strange issue? The arming of the police seemed to be off the boil I had thought.

Hopefully this is just a horrible joke, and I hope that it is a joke that seriously backfires on those who delivered it.

Note that the poster is issued by the People not Profit “Collective”. Anyone describing themselves as a member of a collective is probably not quite right in the head anyway. The authors are likely to be the remnants of the 60′s & 70′s student activists who thought that hyperbole & shock was a valid way to influence politicians.

I have considered lately investing is Australia in case we head down the route of a banana republic in 20 years. I think this weekend I decided that I definitely will. What else can you call the invasion of Iraq?

Oh and don’t give me “Saddam gassed the Kurds so it’s all good”. The US government was just as responsible for that. It was the fact that the US coveted Iran’s oil reserve that lead the US to arm Saddam against Iran, and subsequently, the Kurds.

Upon entry into war with Iran Iraq was advised by American and Israeli officials that a quick land grab of the waterway that Saddam had previously ceded to Iran, as well as some of its western oil fields, would be a relatively simple and safe matter. This was proven to be disastrously wrong.

During the Iran/Iraq war Saddam’s forces were engaged in chemical warfare in the region of northern Iraq, Kurdish territory. Iran was using chemical weapons in that region as well. Saddam authorized the use of chemical weapons on Kurdish cities that had been invaded by Iranian forces.

When the Iranians invaded northern Iraq the Kurds joined forces with the Iranians to fight the Iraqi forces. The Iranians and Kurds were entrenched in defensive positions within the cities so Saddam authorized the use of chemical weapons in order to flush them out.

MB – most sane people learned the lessons of appeasement.

Man is inherently evil. War is just a fact of life.

In saying that, im right into this no casulty cyber war too! The stuxnet worm is back, its been dormant for months. But just as the mad Iranians get ready to fire up their nukes, its back and its rooted them more than ever. outstanding work by Israel and the US :)

No bruv – Chicken Hawks like you and Key, with your approval of it, SUPPORTED the invasion of Iraq.

Hell yeah I supported it! Like Bruv said, Saddam and his sons were fucken maniacs! Good fucken riddance!

Or don’t you think the world should ever stand up to oppressors?

But what that has to do with a poster calling for the assassination of a NZ Parliamentary MP is puzzling..

David…Collins is good at showing her true colours. If my lost , learning disabled nephew was shot by the police , Collins wouldn’t shed an ice cold tear. It would be ”too bad , how sad” for him and the rest of my family and then some pathetic..”the police did not do anything wrong” inquiry…another white wash in the land of eternal whitewashes.. As I said , hypocrits abound. If you are going to dish it out , then you need to be able to take it. Collins is very good at dishing it out.
It sounds as if you haven’t had any personal experience with the NZ police. Even the oldies in CHCH are now writing to the papers about them.

If your nephew was armed, or had already shot and injured (or killed) a policeman, or a member of the public then I would welcome the Police shooting him.

Criminals who are happy to be armed should be aware that they might be shot and killed, call it a cost of doing business.

What are these visually illiterate arseholes trying to say?
It is unclear to me whether they are upset that Judith Collins is denying the police arming or, if they are armed, it will be ‘shooting herself’.
The only thing it DOES clearly communicate is that the ARE arseholes.

BB as long as you too are happy to be shot..My point is the hypocrisy..Collins has advocated for all NZers to become walking targets and yet other people even contemplating her being a target seems to be high drama. I wouldn’t call this article the politics of hate, I would call it the law of cause and effect. Treat others how you wish to be treated. Only the most hypocritical and intellectually impaired politician would ever consider introducing a law at the same time as expecting a personal exemption from it.
Collins has no mandate to arm the police. She is obviously no intellectual giant..just another power crazed , dominatrix. Women have very little time for this type of woman , yet they seem to appeal to a certain section of the male population. Personally , I see this type of woman as having nothing to contribute unless you are into whips and masks etc.
