I haven’t been over to Whale for over a year. Having rated comments is slightly annoying, kinda tips the balance of the argument somewhat.
No one, should EVER have endure serious threats of violence made against them for just executing their elected duties. No matter what their politics are. And for such a…strange issue? The arming of the police seemed to be off the boil I had thought.
Hopefully this is just a horrible joke, and I hope that it is a joke that seriously backfires on those who delivered it.

Note that the poster is issued by the People not Profit “Collective”. Anyone describing themselves as a member of a collective is probably not quite right in the head anyway. The authors are likely to be the remnants of the 60′s & 70′s student activists who thought that hyperbole & shock was a valid way to influence politicians.

New Zealand is filled with babies, who are voters. I thought maybe a term of National would help fix things, but I was naive to think that our ingrained cultural immaturity could change so quickly. I have considered lately investing is Australia in case we head down the route of a banana republic in 20 years. I think this weekend I decided that I definitely will. I only tend to moderate them when they diverge from opinion into statements of fact (for obvious reasons) or they descend into pointless namecalling or trolling. But that kind of comment is made here all of the time about Labour MP's, Green MP's, NZ First ex-MP's, Act MP's as well as National MP's.

I have seen plenty of righties suggesting violence and use of weapons, not so much here now as most of that has moved off onto some minor blogs where it still happens. And it’s not hard to see in posts above attempts at violence smears, eg “You have to hand it to Sue Bradford” etc.
