It’s an estuarine crocodile, getting into the water. Liked the shot for the low angle, the reflection in the water and the colour scheme of the scales.  I miss being around crocodiles…

    This is what will happen to NZ if we have a Labour Government who thinks it can spend its way out of recession and pay for it by ever increasing debt and taxes. They tried that when in Government and we were the first economy to go into recession despite our economic union with Australia which did NOT go into recession.

    Nice burley Spiderman.

    He won’t be able to resist this one … particularly given that it isn’t just this crocodile that lurks nearby in the shallows …

    And Malcolm, don’t interfere – leave the bait alone.

    tvb – that’s pretty lateral … I think!!!???

    Then head over to Darwin where there is plenty of flooding after Cyclone Carlos and “authorities warned people to stay out of flood waters, as there is a strong likelihood of crocodiles moving around”.

    That’s a toughy…..with the absence of teeth I’d be inclined to say it’s her arse. Either way it would take a braver man than I to make a positive ID.

    @davidp

    Heard it’s Cyclone Carlos has hit the region hard. I’m hoping to get a bit further afield however. There’s more than estuarine crocs in this world :)
