Two TV polls

Both One News and 3 News had polls tonight. In order they were:

  • National 51% and 54.6%
  • Labour 33% and 30.9%
  • Greens 8% and 8.2%
  • NZ First 3.6% and 3.3%
  • Maori 2.3% and 2.3%
  • ACT 1.3% and 0.6%

If you average these out, then the seats would be:

CR – Nat 66 + ACT 1 + UF 1 = 68
CL – Lab 40 + Gre 10 = 50
C – Maori 5

Both TV stations made the point this result comes after National announced partial asset sales. Many on the left claimed that it would reverse the lead in the polls. They were wrong.

No susprise that NZ First are up a bit with all the publicity they have had, But interesting to note 57% of NZers said that Key was right to rule Winston out, and only around 33% disagreed. Even amongst Labour voters, views were split 50/50.
