Apparently England lost to Ireland earlier in the week, big bloody deal, when Ireland can beat the Poms over five days I will take notice, until then it remains a minor upset and nothing more.

1. What this ‘game’ is called?

2. What its purpose is?

3. How one ‘plays’ it?

You must add Robyn Malcolm as Chaotic Evil.

Chaotic Evil Chaotic Evil is referred to as the “Destroyer” or “Demonic” alignment. Characters of this alignment tend to have no respect for rules, other people’s lives, or anything but their own desires, which are typically selfish and cruel. They set a high value on personal freedom, but do not have any regard for the lives or freedom of other people. They do not work well in groups, as they resent being given orders, and usually behave themselves only out of fear of punishment.

It is not compulsory for a Chaotic Evil character to be constantly performing sadistic acts just for the sake of being evil, or constantly disobeying orders just for the sake of causing chaos. They do however enjoy the suffering of others, and view honor and self-discipline as weaknesses. Serial killers and monsters of limited intelligence are typically Chaotic Evil.

Yep, Ireland are still a long way from being a test playing nation, just as Bangladesh were admitted too early (I just wish some of the big money from India and Australia could go into supporting infrastructure and development in the nascent cricketing countries).

Mind you, I guess after their Test performance over summer you aren’t taking notice of Australia either.

Hmmm… hard to disagree with any of the decisions there dpf. Six months ago I would have put Brooke in the Neutral Evil box but you might be right about her current position in LE.

Fairly well agree except Isaac is chaotic evil and Brooke neutral evil. They are both excellent in either case.

[DPF: The chart came about after I tweeted that I liked Brooke and Isaac as they were believable evil – highly highly selfish, rather than a stereotypical serial killer etc. And then someone mentioned D&D alignments.

I stand by Isaac as NE. He is totally selfish but doesn’t go out of his to cause chaos. He just does whatever is needed to look after himself. Brooke I put as LE on the basis she wanted Isaac to go to the Police over the kidnapping, but she is an arguable NE also]

RightNow i started another batch – it stalled as ‘someone’ switched of the heater – Am trying to get it restarted this weekend. Frankly I’m disgusted, but will persevere. A beer sounds nice this lot will need another three weeks at least if I can rescue it.

I would like to see a Venn diagram showing:

A. People familiar enough with Dungeons & Dragons to understand the alignments well enough to make these calls.
B. People familiar enough with Shortland Street to know the characters well enough to make these calls.

You forgot the Lawful Stupid alignment.

Shortland St is a wonderful welfare scheme for actors who cannot survive on their own work. I always thought that artists (including actors) did their best work while starving in some garret somewhere and are only appreciated after they are dead. Actually – that gave me an idea. Zombie Shortland St.
