A Colmar Brunton survey of 500 New Zealand 20-somethings has found pay day and pay rises are the things they love the most – even more than sex.

Easy to explain, they are getting one too often (devalue it, i.e. every day or more) and the other not enough (value it, i.e. once, two times, or four times a month).

Simple: they’ve been shagging their little arses off since they were about 13 (sex ‘education’ in schools explained to them how to do it) so that by the time they get to be adults they’re over it. Gotten old before their time.

Simple law of deminishing return. Sex comes more often than pay day for 20 somethings nowadays. Young Kiwi women are notoriously free with their sexuality. For guys that don’t know it by now… Look after your appearance, be kind and respectful, make em laugh, then ask them on a date. Not hard.

Its just basic supply and demand:
20s = Lots of sex, not allot of cash. Hence marginal utility greater for additional units of cash
40s (assuming kids) = Lots of cash, not allot of sex. Hence marginal utility greater for additional units of sex.
