Sorry reid I just don’t believe that a society as open, free and random as America could have pulled off this giant conspiracy of knocking down the WTC and kept it a secret.

I know this Johnboy and that’s precisely why I said in my 7:58:

Our understanding is built up on successive paradigm layers and accepting 911 is not kosher must break one or more of the strongest due to the emotive resistance one always encounters over this subject and you only get emotion when you’re running up against paradigms cause they are our psychological defence mechanisms.

Understanding 911 requires a breakthrough moment because its so mega. Merely opening your mind to the possibly brings huge ramifications because it’s breaking the social contract.

It’s one of those very powerful emotive paradigms.

I don’t personally happen to believe Bush was involved. The way he acted, he was stunned. Cheney is another story. Interesting story.

Of course they exploited it like the bastards they were with Iraq but Afghanistan was a just conflict, it’s not anymore, but that’s not the troop’s fault in anyway. Fanatical terrorists exist period and many look just like you and I, they’re not wild-eyed at all, unless they’re with their comrades. This country will see bombings, it’s inevitable.

None of these facts says anything more it’s conceivable were one to put the uttermost venal spin on it, that the US stood the AF down by for example ordering fighter jets to intercept at less than half their max speed and stuff like that – yes, that did happen and lots more with the military on that day – and allowed the terrorists to attack. Now, I don’t believe for a second they would do anything like that and you couldn’t possibly keep that a secret I mean c’mon.

There were other strange things as well like the way they cut the security cams on all floors over a weekend a few months before – none of this lends any weight either way.

To me Johnboy this is conjecture not data so I ignore it. Who cares.

The problem with that line of logic (from your perspective) is that is can be equally and fully used to support the “I saw a plane fly into the building and that’s why it collapsed” truth. We saw the plane hit, we saw great damage and what we can’t explain doesn’t invalidate that as the cause of the destruction.

Yes bhudson. This is why I look at data, not conjecture.

Surely the sensible choice? Just as alternative fuels start to come on stream (with the inevitable glitches) a man who has invested in the last of the certain fuels will be laughing all the way to the bank?

Sofia, I believe ‘Whistleblower’ known as Dr Jacob Cohen, has made some very serious allegations that it was ‘murder at Pike River Mine’.

I have helped to forward the information that he specifically sent to me because he had heard that I was also a ‘Whistleblower’ also, in order that others could read these ALLEGATIONS for themselves.

I believe that the families and the public have the right to a full and thorough independent investigation, so that the FACTS can fully emerge without whitewashing or coverup.

What really concerns me, is that it appears that the company Pike River Mine, may not fully participate in the Royal Commission.

Again – I encourage people to take the time to read Dr Jacob Cohen’s report for yourselves – before rubbishing it.
You may find it more helpful to start at Chapter Two – which deals with allegations of negligence by the company.

Myself – I cannot believe that if all the proper health and safety precautionary systems were in place at Pike River Mine- how such a build up of methane could have occurred without warning.

It’s not like this was the first time underground coal mining has ever occurred?

Big Bruv – if you haven’t even read Dr Jacob Cohen’s Whistleblower report – then the head that should be ‘pulled in’ is your own.

(Meant of course in a caring, albeit engineering workshop sort of way 🙂

Where are the mainstream alternative fuels today? Where the infrastructures and processes to maker hem viable as mass fuels? Where is the mainstream and large scale investment in expirential r&d – i.e. on the end product and delivery mechanisms? Where are they in widespread use today? Where is he widespread and mass production of vehicles to use those fuels?

To paraphrase the immortal words of that great sage Darrell Kerrigan – “You’re dreamin'”

Israel should have 2 votes only if they are union delegates and duly authorised by the Labour Party (or it’s chief delegate in the UN.)

Although a difficult and complicated subject, (which many may simply find overwhelming), because it involves extremely complex commercial collusion and conspiracy at the highestlevel largely by extremely wealthy, educated men – for the sake of urgency and brevity, while the event is still fresh in people’s minds, this book has been written and published little more than one month after the event and is only 50 odd pages long.

Why bother with a commission?

By page fourteen he rattles off everyone he thinks should be charged with first degree murder. If he’d spent another week before publishing he might have discovered that our justice system doesn’t work in degrees of murder like the US.

No I can’t Johnboy, I’ve just spent the last ten or so minutes typing in keywords and it hasn’t turned up.

Can I suggest it’s not important since it’s not data, and I wasn’t suggesting it was. The story if you want to know is that someone involved in the project said that a month or so prior to 911 both buildings went through a network upgrade which required shutting down all the cams on every floor, for some reason. That’s my recall. The article which I read as I said above, over 8 years ago now, named the company and person etc and seemed credible.

As it wasn’t data, I didn’t care, but I thought it was interesting.

– Well not quite – it’s an electric/petrol hybrid
– it’s a plug-in electric – that is handy (if you have an extraordinary long extension cord)
– it’s only available in a small number of states in the US
– at USD $40k starting price it is more a luxury car than mass market car that will remove reliance on fossil fuel (other than that needed to go further than 40km of course)
– they are only producing 10,000 this year – not exactly a growth plan to world domination

And…

– in the 3 months to March 2011, they sold 1200 units [a little behind projections]

BP and PetroBras have not started turning off the pumps and drills

Bruv – Nixon headed the senate intelligence oversight committee at the time.

Bullet – no he didn’t. Nixon was only in the Senate between 1950 and 1952 before he was VP to Eisenhower. After being defeated by Kennedy in 1960 he returned to California. He was working in his own law practice and launching a failed bid for the California governorship when the Bay of Pigs happened.

The best conspiracy theories usually have the protagonists on the right side of the country when the conspiracy is alleged to have taken place.

Like this prick – Labour MP Iain Lees-Galloway. Or is he a prick or is he thick?

The first shots have been fired in the battle to win Palmerston North at this year’s general election, with National candidate Leonie Hapeta accusing Labour MP Iain Lees-Galloway of practising “nasty politics”.

Mr Lees-Galloway and about 15 supporters gathered outside Mrs Hapeta’s Hotel Coachman about 5pm on Monday – protesting against the Government’s plans to sell state-owned assets.

Mrs Hapeta said she felt attacked by the protesters, who held signs and waved at vehicles on both sides of Fitzherbert Ave.

“Having not met Iain since I became the candidate, I went out to introduce myself, and ask him why he was attacking my business, rather than holding the protest outside my campaign office,” she said.

The National campaign office will be based inside the old GQ Clothing building on Broadway Ave, but has not yet opened.

“He was not able to answer this simple question, and seemed quite surprised I was willing to talk civilly to him rather than yell abuse at him.”

But Mr Lees-Galloway, who is Labour’s Defence and Land Information spokesman, said the location was chosen by his Young Labour supporters because of the heavy traffic flow.

“There was no intention to target Leonie’s business and it hadn’t even crossed my mind,” he said.

“Yeah, when I got there I thought: `OK we’re outside the Coachman’ but it was no plan on my part.”

Duh? He just happened to not know where his Young Labour Party supporters were taking him to protest? Maybe he is thick?

Then he talks about Asset Sales (must be Labour’s new lie to the gullible public, I mean strategy). National have talked about part-sales (but the Govt retains majority share) to NZ investors. So maybe Iain is a lying prick?

Hmmm, so is he a prick or thick? Anyone know? 🙂

Here here, burt. That situation is unf*****gbelieveable! I wonder whether Queenstown tourism will take a hit, should an aircraft disaster occur? I hope one doesn’t occur but that doesn’t mean Queenstown airport management (and the local council) should be thinking the same and be lax about safety. Muppets is a good description …

Look I get that full guidance systems would be problematic given the somewhat imaginative way the pilots work with the terrain. But really, no runway lights ? They don’t need to be on all the time !

Hmm, what’s wrong with some of these Airport (companies)? Like Queenstown without even just runway lights?

Like Wellington, that would rather waste their money on a Wellywood sign, rather than fill in the “drop” onto Cobham Drive and Evans Bay?

One aircraft disaster to occur and heads will be rolling and the problems then rectified.

Meanwhile in China, tourist visitors to NZ drop because of Chinese Govt safety advisories warning their citizens of NZ’s unsafe airports ….

reid, I’m as far from a conspiracy theorist as you can get, but GE is one of the most crooked companies you can get.

They thrive on government manipulation. You list NBC, then say you’re not so sure about GE…. GE owned NBC until about 12 months ago….

How many of you know where the majority of Kiwibank’s lending, other than mortgages, comes from? GE Money – very, very subversive company.

Jeff Immelt (GE CEO) is so far up Obama’s ass that the only thing hanging out are his shoe laces.

Some of the stuff I could tell you about GE, would make poor old Mr. Edison turn in hus grave.

Why the Parole Board Should be disbanded and Prisoners fulfill their full sentences.

A man involved in the slaying of an Upper Hutt sportsman is to be freed on the anniversary of his victim’s death.
Andre Watene, who was on parole at the time and had a history of violent offences, was convicted of murder. Three other men – Robert Waa, Daniel Jeffery and Aaron Taka – were each sentenced to four years for aggravated robbery.

Mr Stone’s grandfather Mike Jacobs said his family was devastated to learn early this week that Taka would be freed next Tuesday – the fourth anniversary of his grandson’s death.

Four years for murder by a recidivist violent offender and if you sign up for some program the Parole Board lets you out. FFS
No rational sensible ordinary citizen would let this arsehole out of jail how come these highly paid socialist parole baord members can.
The best example ever of why Three Strikes should have been made retrospective.

Four years for murder by a recidivist violent offender

That didn’t make sense and it’s incorrect – the article is poorly worded and confusing.

Watene was convicted of murder, he is not being released.
Taka, who was sentenced to four years for aggravated robbery, is being released. It sounds like he has served his whole prison term.

Nixon was involved in the initial proposal to undertake the bay of pigs. In fact, he was a driving force behind it.

Magic Bullet – but Nixon was not on the Senate intelligence committee at the time of the Bay of Pigs (which you haven’t admitted was wrong) that you claimed.

That was my bad Ivan, and you were right to pull me up on it. Sometimes particulars get muddled when i haven’t read the source material for a while. I knew Nixon was involved in the initial planning stages at least. It is embarrassing to get the name of his official office wrong though. For that i have no one to blame but myself.

Another interesting point in all of this is, when you see people denounce ALL “conspiracy theorists” as delusional – you gotta think they’re being a little knee-jerk. How do they know that not even one proposed case of political-criminal conspiracy has been carried out and covered up over the last 50 years? What a blind belief in mainstream received wisdom these people have. But how can you say which argument is right about JFK or 9/11 when you haven’t bothered to check out the arguments for yourselves? Not saying that all who uphold the mainstream received wisdom are wrong, just that so many of you seem uninformed.
