The Justice Hot Tub
July 18th, 2011 at 4:00 pm by David FarrarA new website which I will check out often – the Justice Hot Tub.
Contributors are Gil Elliott, Garth McVicar, Stephen Franks and Greg King. Greg is one of NZ’s top criminal defence lawyers, so his presence means there should be a healthy diversity of opinion in debating issues around our criminal justice system.

And when we get around to it, both F E Smith and myself will also be contributing.
[DPF: You mean F E Smith is not Greg King?

“F E Smith and I….” Graeme…ah, what a difference 25 years or so makes in English teaching …. despite the lefties’ best efforts there IS still such a thing as correct English usage, and “F E Smith and myself…” isn’t an example of it…
Sorry for the off topic post; I couldn’t stop myself….

An interesting idea. I wasn’t familliar with the term “Hot tubbing” which, apparently, is the commonly used slang for concurrent evidence, where courts put multiple expert witnesses on the stand together. Its supporters say the practice saves an enormous amount of time and resources.

@David Garrett
What a difference 25 years of men’s grooming makes. Despite the rights’ best efforts, there IS such a thing as tasteful facial hair. A moustache isn’t an example of it.

Oh I dunno, ephemera, moustaches used to be all the rage in ’70s porno movies…so I’ve been told.

Ross: I believe that is so….but they were much bigger and bushier efforts than mine!
If you think I look bad now, I can assure it’s a lot worse without it…
Anyway, back to the topic….I look forward to watching the hot tub site also…All three (four including Graeme) involved with it are stand up guys…even if we don’t always see eye to eye….
