As an Expat living in Rural NSW its great to see some competition, and its also fun to watch the outrage of the locals at the idea of “foriegn imports”… however what I really would like is for the Australian Government to allow the importation of bananas! We paid $8 for three the other day!

Right makes right our supermarket had them $1-47c kilo last week…..Re the apples though as far as I could read they were being given away not sold and anything free tastes good.

And the aussie Supermarkets said the other day they would not be stocking NZ apples. I.e. Woolies and Coles.

We’re not allowed to implement mandatory country of origin labelling but they’re allowed to mount a such a xenophobic campaign. Free trade indeed.
