Davis endorses Shane Jones to be next Labour Leader
November 8th, 2011 at 2:59 pm by David FarrarWhale reports:
Labour are just lacking even the most basic discipline. Every MP should know that you never offer an opinion as to whom the next leader should be, let alone doing it 18 days before the general election.
And this wasn’t even an oral interview, but one where Kelvin would have typed out his answer.
Someone should have asked a follow-up of whether the vote will be in December or in February.

Everyone else is openly talking about Labour just being in prep for 2014 mode, so why shouldn’t their MPs?

I used to think that Kelvin Davis was in the wrong party.
I was wrong.

Yes picking the next Liarbore leader should be an interesting affair, musical chairs, spin the bottle, pick up sticks, pin the tail on idiot, oh what fun.

It’s unlikely that Kelvin will be in a position to help choose the next leader unless he benefits from Waihoroi Shortland splitting Hone’s vote in Tai Tokerau.

Do they really think Shane “Mmm….Porno” Jones can make a good leader? I suspect they underestimate the collective revulsion NZ will still have regarding that credit card charge incident. I don’t think people could get over it. I won’t. Maybe I’m small minded but it creates an image you really don’t want when talking about a Prime Minister. Should he ever get to that point, that is.

mmm, should tugger Jones make it to PM, one would be well inside the bounds of correctness to say…The PM is a wanker!….

Davis is not disciplined because he has nothing to lose. He knows he will not be in parliament after November, and that the blame for that largely lies with Goff. Why shouldn’t he speak his mind?

Davis needs Labour to get what, 28-29% to be in? I think he’ll scrap in with three or more list MPs to spare.

TMC
I wasn’t revolted by Shane watching some porn, I was revolted by Clark’s criminal offending, by Fields criminal offending, by Mallards criminal offending. At least Shane is human and not tied to one of the luvvie factions that rule the labour party, I said this the other day, if the labour party must have a leader or we must have a labour party Jones is it.
Cunliffe is vile, Parker is sleazy, Robertson may come across a nice and butch but he is still part of the pinks in the party, havn’t heard of any of the others.
You are the only one talking about him as a PM, Christ, he will be retired before those drongo’s get the treasury again, but as a leader he’s yards ahead of the other smug shits.

I have previously blogged in another forum why I supported Kelvin Davis over Hone Harawira. No more.
But it is his own Party that have pulled the plug on him winning Te Tai Tokerau with their proposal to raise the age of NZ Super to 67 when the average life expectancy for a Maori male is 70.4 years coupled with their proposal to can the ‘holiday highway’ (their words) from Puhoi north. For us up here it is not a holiday highway. It is part of what is needed to boost Northland’s tourism potential as well as maximising the return from our ever increasing forestry development.
Kelvin endorsing Shane is a bit like Jesus endorsing Judus.

At least under a Shame Jones administration we can be sure they wouldn’t propose a vast firewall like Australia.

Hi Paul – I agree there are/were far worse elements in the Labour camp but my question was about that specific incident and it’s potential impact.
I just don’t see how people will let it slide. I’d resign from my job out of embarrassment if I got caught trying to charge porn to the company on a business trip. It’s just so stupid too so he obviously lacks some basic judgement skills. Who doesn’t know not to do that? Pay cash if you have to
You would also get fired from most companies for attempting to charge extras on the company card. The fact that it was porn just adds a yuck factor to it.
Yards ahead? Really? Wow – the others must really be crap.
They should clean out all the dead wood. Bring up Shearer. He’s actually quite a good, smart guy.
