Do you have a link that explains the ‘reserve’ simply & in a way that an economic illiterate such as myself would understand? Something along the lines of “Economics for Preschoolers’ would be about the right level.

Gini has some disadvantages/shortfall. Here are some good econophysics papers with toy models that relate the Lorentz curve & Gini coefficient to real-world income data, which the authors’ claimed that the theoretical model agree well with the data. This discussion is covered in section 3.6. Lorenz plot and Gini coefficient for income inequality for the paper shown below.

I highly recommend the papers to Pollywog to read because the papers discussed of why trying to make/force equality on society is a very difficult task to achieve.

It’s just the result of the, probably LSD fueled, 1970’s visions of the now Leftist nutjobs who have slithered into powerful positions in world politics. People like our ‘dear leader’ always dreamt of a world described in Blue Mink’s 1969 release ‘Melting Pot”.
